What did you do in GT7 today?

• Earned the Master S license. Though i still have 11 tests that i need to gold to properly be done with the license.

• Uploaded few more decals (mostly brand logos and licence plates) since i haven't done so in ages.

• Won a daily race and gotten several top 5 finishes (trying to improve my DR to B class since I neglected sports races since launch).

My Sunday gaming time I spent at Nordschleife. Today I was able to clock and upload 2 laps.

First the Kangoo '01 and then the Mazda Roadster '89. The french van has all the engine mods and parts minus the turbocharge resulting in 152hps, it also has weight reduction 3 and a rear difuser. I dropped the rear wing though. It seemed too much and I wanted the visual to remain simpler.

The Mazda is almost the same as 2 weeks ago, I adjusted the suspension and the gearbox but actually don't remember exactly how. I just wanted to have a clean lap with it and even though I rode over some curbs I shouldn't, I'm ok with this lap.

Moving on with my list of cars to drive there.

Stuff like this makes me believe they planned on more race car classes derived from the street cars. Maybe the 'Race Car" upgrade from past GT's will come back for GT8.
That would be neat. If the lack of race car additions is due to licencing, I'd love to see the return to the GT Original Race cars that peppered previous games, both those which existed in earlier titles(I want to see the Camaro LM Edition back personally) and new concepts. And with how many current road cars basically have full race kits visually(and in some cases like the C-HR lacking the punch to go with) it would be cool, especially if they were to do away with the restrictive Group system, and simply allow similar cars to go up against each other without being lumped into a category where you are trying to balance 15 different rule sets.

This would be a great addition to the game. Imagine we could convert road cars into touring cars (racing seats, visibly stripped down interior etc.).

In a way Gran Turismo 5 did that, even though it was a racing upgrade to your roadcar, complete with fully stripped out interior and on rare occasions a different engine, it was essentially like getting a new car without any of the effort of building it yourself.

Wow, I didn’t know that (as I haven’t played GT5 & 6). I will never understand why PD introduce cool new features in a GT title only to drop them for the next game.

Couple of Daily B's on the alt account. Set what I thought was a slow qualifier of 1:51.

Race 1 had me starting in 10th, so I pulled over and dropped back to last with a 3 second gap to the next racer by the time I cross the start line. Finished the race in 5th.

Race 2 I repeated the tactic of pulling over and letting everyone pass. This race was a bit messy, but I brought it home in 8th, even after wiping out on the Death Chicane on lap 3.

Despite having Clair Obscur Expedition 33 to play, I'll probably still try to throw in a few Daily B's each day just cause this race is entertaining!

Just gave the WTC 900 a try with the Toyota TS050. No fuel saving required, easily got to lap 6 on fuel and then pushing just the same to the checkered flag. It's the only 2016 Hybrid LMP1 I have driven but goodness, it is super OP on fuel.

I started a new account on Christmas 2024 and this time i wanted to reach a full 100% dashboard (without collecting all cars, because that's just a boring chore). First time i golded the Nordschleife CE some time ago on that account. As i new from other accounts that the rest was doable i got to work. Hardest for me this time was the final license at Suzuka because double shifting just doesn't work for me 90% of times.

When i golded Suzuka i new the rest would be easier. Did the Maggiore Endurance mission yesterday and the RedBull Ring endurance mission today.

Now only a lot of WTC700+800 races and some Group 3 events are missing. So only fun awaits as the Gr3 in the rain at the RedBull Ring where you start in the front of the pack is already done. :D
