I think the PPG is long gone. I don't see how that can be repaired.
This. It can be repaired. I've seen worse come back.Long hours and sheer dogged determination.
Think this one might be glass for the special model but not sure, most are steel. Are the A-pillars steel or fiberglass? Never really known, but I assume steel.
It was a joke....So let me get this straight. They put the time and effort to take out the 1,000,000th Corvette only to put back in the hole????

I don't know what's funnier. The fact that it was a joke or that meme.
of course not, it's Jalopnik, don't ever take Jalopnik seriously. Except when they are.
No matter how shiny they are, they won't be the same.This. It can be repaired. I've seen worse come back.

No, meaning they won't be original anymore. A restored car is not the same as an all original car. Sure it will look the same, but it's not the same car.Like Slash said, I've seen cars in worse condition be restored.
These cars will never be on the road, so it doesn't matter if they drive as good as before. They will go back to sitting in the museum, so as long as they look as good as before.
GM is taking care of the restoration, and picking up the tab. All cars should be good as new aesthetically and mechanically.

Which Corvettes haven't been pulled out yet? The 1.5 millionth and...?
I'd say it was other than the listed things. You see this all the time with muscle cars. That's like saying my Kia is all-original, except for the front bumper, hood, headlights, and the right-rear hubcap.
