Here's all the updates and extraction plans.

Uh-oh. That's just six, not the seven I thought I saw. The 1.5 Mil, specifically. I thought it was under the PPG, but it looks like they'll be digging for two cars now.

On a whim, I looked at the pic Slash posted again, and...well..., I'm reinstating that seven cars are known.

How? Well, The '62 and the "Blue Devil" are on top; the 1 Mil Vette is, for allintesive purposes, under the '62 and will literally be there if the '62 loses the edge; the 40th is impersonating a lawn dart; the ZR-1 spyder is half buried in the low spot, at the bottom of the photo, and the PPG is in a bad way under the newer ZR1. Maning that the unaccounted for are the Hammer and the 1.5 Mil, or were as upon further review, I've spotted the 1.5 Mil.

Where? Look at the pic behind the text '40th Corvette'.

Find me anything that someone hasn't tried to make into a conspiracy. Then they wonder why they get mocked constantly.

Starting the Blue Devil, first reaction is "Cool, wonder how bad the chassis damage is." End of video is "THAT'S ALOT OF OIL!"

I saw that they brought up the 2nd Corvette... It was the 40th anniversary, "Ruby"
It looked like it hit a tree a low speeds :/

At least the Blue Devil is out and running. The oil when fired could be something simple like a oil line?

Yes..."Ruby" looks bad.:(

It looks like it rolled over, but the more pressing issue for me is that the unless I'm mistaken, the '62 is still hanging onto the ledge. Why go after the 40th instead, I'm sure the crane operators have some sort of netting or hammock-esqe attachments they could set up. The only reason I can think of would be uncertainty of the floor stability where it's hung.

I've seen cars in worse shape come back. It'll be ok.

This is sad, but at the same time it's really heartwarming to see the Corvettes being pulled out and repaired. I wonder how many other museums would do this to their beloved cars? :P

Glad to see them being pulled out! Let's hope their trip to rehab's a speedy one ;P

Lifting it out by the engine? Really?
It's not hooked to the engine, it's hooked to the cross-member supporting the engine and then wrapped around the frame rails in 4 spots.

Now that the '62 is out, and I'll assume the interest of a fair number with it, any ideas on what comes out next? As the milestone cars have settled into places under the still existing floor, and the Spyder is half-buried, I think the pace car will come out next, mainly because they can get the floor off of it and get to mounting points without too much hassle, but if they get it out they can start trying to move debris around.

Snagged the millionth Corvette.

And the PPG..Which was nearly cut in half by a concrete slab!

They should just keep all the trashed cars trashed. Maybe GM won't ask for a bailout again.

Cut in half is a bit much, but it will need a lot of attention. Five out now, only the 1.5 Mil, ZR1 Spyder, and Hammer remain. Drag out the 1.5, get the shovels for the ZR1, and start scoping for the Hammer.
