Welcome! You've reached the homepage to the Low PP Car Club. We are all about fun and a good time here, but also stress the importance of clean racing. If you like what you see, post in the thread or shoot us a pm. Too see when we race just check the schedule below. Thanks for stopping by!

We follow GTP OLR. BUT we all make mistakes.

350PP- Comfort Hard (CH)
-This class is geared for the slower less used vehicles. The lower PP allows for a wide variety of cars to be run. Ex. Subaru 360, or Pontiac Vibe.

400PP- Comfort Medium(CM)
-A great middle of the road class, that still uses slower cars but gives the user more options for "nimble" cars. Ex. VW Bus, or Scion FR-S.

450PP- Comfort Soft (CS)
-Considered as the "big boy" class, it offers excellent racing with fast cars but limited tire compound. You'll struggle to put power down, but the harder tire ensures exciting and close finishes. Ex. Chevy Chevelle or Lotus Elise.

  1. Power restrictions and added ballast are permitted.
  2. NO RACE CARS. Strictly limited to street cars, no LM's and no tuner's.
  3. Tire compounds are Comfort Tires.
  4. The winning car is impounded for ONE race, that driver must pick a different car for following race.
  5. Reverse Grid based on previous results.
  6. TC and ABS are ON, BUT ARE OPTIONAL. NO DRIVING LINE/ASM/etc.
  7. Races are 5-6 minutes in length, with an occasional 10 minute race.
  8. Fully customizable suspension/transmission are allowed, unless noted otherwise.
  9. Most important rule is to have fun. If we don't have fun, then what's the point?

I would like to give credit to Chuyler1 for this idea back when GT5 came out. He was an excellent host. I would also like to thank everyone for making it so much fun over the last two years.

450PP is one of my favourite levels to race at so this appeals to me and weeknights appeal to me even more. I'm already tuning for 450PP Sports Hards if anyone is interested:

I "discovered" lower PP racing in Chuylers old 450PP SS rooms myself and it was great fun. Sports Softs on these cars seems like dramatic overkill to me now, especially with the new physics model. 450 is fast enough to be fun, but not so fast you are balanced on a razors edge and need the reflexes of a 14 year old gymnast to have some side by side action:lol:. I highly recommend it!!

I recall Chuyler had an unwritten rule that once a car won a race you could no longer use it, which makes a lot of sense to me. Now that you can sort PP/Weight/HP at the same time it's easier to keep the Elises and really light cars out of races by setting a weight minimum as needed. Limiting drivetrains at times works too.

I agree 100% the SS in GT5 were just not very sticky. In GT6 however...

Weeknights should work for me on most days. Around 8 CST or so? I will work on a schedule later. If we get enough interest we might consider having different hosts on nights that work for everyone?

I'm going to open a room later tonight if anyone is interested, I will post on here when

Hi.. I would like to have a go at this please. I am new to GT on PS3, I actually bought a PS3 for this new game. I have played Forza since 2007 & done many hotlap comps & mainly raced online the whole time. I love racing fwd. I'm still playing career at the moment trying to learn all the new tracks and work out the tuning side of things but im sure I will get up to speed soon. If any of you guys wanna awnd me a fr then go ahead. I look forward to getting online soon. Thanks

I apologize for not hosting a room last night, something came up.

I'll definitely set up a room tonight.

Mad gunner- You're more than welcome to come race with us, it's good practice to race with others. The computer drivers don't block and use up the track like real online drivers. It's a lot more fun.

Nice one... will try and hook up with you online soon. I loved racing online in Forza, made some really good friends & learnt alot from them. Had some epic races :)

This was my first proper online event that I had entered with great GTP racers like You guys! Looking forward to participating more events! I'll post some pics of the first few races later.

I apologize for the demo derby that ensued, it wasn't like that when we first had the room going.

Hey i played with you guys last night. My name was A.Zander. We had some good clean races. I like your choice of 450pp with sports hards. One suggestion, we had quite a few people cut some corners tonight. I think you should set penalties on weak for next time. It would keep the pack together for longer. Also possibly setting a reverse grid based on last race results. Either way i will see ya in there!

I had fun last night racing in this room. My name in game is M.Montalvo. I only really had time for two races maybe tonight I can stick around longer. :)

All noted, couple questions though:
What nights and times is good for us to get together? I like the Sunday night around 8:00 CST maybe do every other night? Like Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday and keep rotating?

Do you all like the 5-6 minute races? Or should we raise the laps? I would like to do maybe three 5 minute races and then one 10 minute race and keep repeating.

I feel we need to set a basis on what cars to run. I know the s2k's are fast but I think after two or three nights we'll figure out the rest of the 450 cars to make them competitive. But I think we need to limit a few things:
-no race cars
-no tuners (spoon, mugen, etc)
-no concepts?
-...?

I appreciate all of you that showed up. I hope we build a big enough room where we can make it a private room so we can guarantee clean racing.

Turn damage on,the heavier the better. That will sort out the people that just fly into the 1st turn and take out half the field and think passing is just ramming your way to the front from the clean racers.

And probably ruin a bunch of innocent drivers races in the process ---> one idiot plows into the first corner and 5 people have to make a trip to the pits to fix damage.

I always missed out on the previous 450pp rooms, I'll stay tuned and join if/when I can. Fair warning though I'm horrible at tuning and generally don't do it so I'll likely just be driving a mostly stock car around at the back of the field. 👍 Unless damage is going to be on heavy, then I'll probably pass.

Apricot Hill Raceway is one of the few good tracks to race at Night. Also, I don't think including concept cars would harm the races, especially cars like FT-86 II Concept and the Solitice Coupe concept. As long as the restrictions are high. Every car should be even.

I will just have to test with some penalty settings. I think a light penalty would let you ghost through a car rather then slam in to the back of it. Keeping the damage setting off then. I don't mind high penalties but I do think they get a bit over the top on some tracks.

Hey guys, I have started a league that has a 450PP street class. I'm looking for participants. I didn't know if any of yall wanted to join....I think you will will enjoy it. It is called the PRO TOUR Endurance Racing Series
