If you guys start limiting too many cars it will get ridiculous fast. Like last night I was running an s2000 and decided to get out of it to keep things a little fair and then the next race an Evora is brought out. I should have stayed in the s2000 as the Evora beat 2nd & 3rd place by over 10 seconds. Although it was a great race either way. Drake is a good lobby leader and when the pack is split up too much he should just ask a few people to find new cars. It's not about being first all the time, but being competitive and having fun.

@DICE ZZT230 Those pictures look great! We had some good clean races!

Alright guys updated the OP. Also second post will be our schedule. Take a look at it, make suggestions. I figured taking Friday-Saturday off. Family Time, stuff like that. Also for theme nights. We could do Nurburgring only, maybe 50-70's, different pp level? Just think on it. Something fun atleast.

What is everyone's opinion on making it a private room? Depends on how many takers we have. I'm trying to eliminate the random trolls that crash everyone.

I think its a good idea that we make the event a private room. If the room becomes private, that means the people who will be stopping by are the participants(including me) from this thread. Here's a suggestion for a theme that I just thought about, we should have mid to high performance sports cars such as Corvettes, GT-Rs, Shelby GT500s, etc. (not cars that would cost people millions of credits to buy and half a million to restore body rigidity)Thats all I can think of for now.

So how does this creating a room for here work? Can anyone do it on any night if they post it here first and abide by the rules? I really enjoyed this room the other night. No BS good clean racing with a friendly atmosphere!

I don't have a problem with creating a room. Should we all just use "450pp Street Car League" as the name? I won't be on tonight, because I have my steering wheel "rig" hooked up in the living room. If I do every other night the rest of the family doesn't complain too much.

I think different hosts are a good thing!

Yeah as long as they follow your rules it will be great. I did like having gt planet in the name though. Thats the reason i joined your room. I didn't see this thread before hand.

This. Oh, and I have another small suggestion regarding this idea. If a different Host decides to open the lobby. He/She should name the Lobby "GTP 450PP Street Car League". After they open it, they should notify the people here in this thread and include the "Room Number" so that way people can join the lobby with ease.

Ok then so I will try to host public rooms if no one else does. It will just be some short races.
I usually get home around 7:00 EST so I usual play for maybe an hour or two then I'm done for the night.

P.s.
I was messing with weight restrictions I set it to 1000kg and seem to limit the Elise and other front runners a bit. What you guys think for the HP/KG limits should be?

Since finals are over, I'll be able to host here and there too.

I think the room should remain open and have the GTP name though. We can reserve slots for members (I.E. if a random is taking up a space from someone on GTP, then kindly ask them to leave), but other than that... I think keeping it open might bring in new people. It would bring in some sketchy drivers too, but they can be easily kicked.

I also vote for at least banning race cars. Maybe not pre-tuned just yet. But definitely race cars.

Hey guys, I have started a league that has a 450PP street class. I'm looking for participants. I didn't know if any of yall wanted to join....I think you will will enjoy it. It is called the PRO TOUR Endurance Racing Series
Bad manners dude to troll another guys' thread trying to recruit for the same idea:tdown:

And probably ruin a bunch of innocent drivers races in the process ---> one idiot plows into the first corner and 5 people have to make a trip to the pits to fix damage.

I always missed out on the previous 450pp rooms, I'll stay tuned and join if/when I can. Fair warning though I'm horrible at tuning and generally don't do it so I'll likely just be driving a mostly stock car around at the back of the field. 👍 Unless damage is going to be on heavy, then I'll probably pass.

I'm in agreement on the damage. I've only run one organized race online, got put into the wall by Ayrton Sennawannabe trying to pass on the inside with two wheels on the grass and my race was effectively over 15 minutes into an hour long event. Clean racing comes from the driver, not the settings and if you find people not to be clean you warn them once or twice then kick them out with the rest of the trash. It's the only thing that really works.

Too bad you don't know anyone that's currently tuning for 450PP Sports Hards eh Brandon?

I know banning certain cars isn't popular and if you limit participation to a people that mostly know each other you can have unspoken agreements not to use certain cars. I wouldn't make it a hard rule but I'd give the host definite latitude at any time to invoke a ban on any car or cars that are dominating the field at any time during the night. Also not allowing someone to continue to drive any car they won a race in is probably a good idea, although maybe not in the beginning since we'll be turning up with limited tunes for a while.

I like lightweight FF cars. So I'm thinking either 900 or 950, but if 1000 is more... beneficial to the cause, I wouldn't be too against it.

Using weight limits works to help eliminate the Elises as does restricting drivetrains to exclude MR's which combined, eliminates most of the PP dominant cars I would think. It's the kind of thing you can throw on for a race or two here or there so everyone can still take them out if they want to, just not every race. Sounds like a good solution to me.

After having run a very similar lobby to you guys for quite a while now, all I can say is, persist with the lobby being public. I know there are a lot of idiots out there, who are usually identified by whipping out a Motul Civic, but you have to encourage others to report these people to the host and the host has to kick. If you don't kick the idiots, then all the good, clean drivers will leave. If you persist with reporting and kicking, you will eventually be left with a room full of good drivers and the quality of the racing will escalate nicely 👍

Keep up the good work, if I see you guys online, I'll stop in to watch a few races...

Truer words were never spoken.

I may see if I have the time for a few races here. Gonna send out some FRs to those who said they would host so I can find the room. :P

Has anyone else noticed it's a little rediculous how some cars are to tune? I spent an hour on a lancia stratos and it still is two seconds slower then tomkat's rx7

I had to post in the tuning forum about that RX-7 to be honest. Last time I drove it on my own setup was around Big Willow and I ended up losing it on top of iForce and we both spun into pit lane. It was bad. It seems like a lot of cars are slippier than they used to be. Especially the MR cars.

I remember that wreck now, freaking hilarious!

The MR cars seem to hate the brake pedal, and even the normal FR cars seem a bit slower and lazier then they used to be.

Hahahahaha. At the time I felt so bad. All it took was one tire in the dirt.

I think the MR cars just favor a lot more brake pressure up front. At least to prevent them from coming around ass first.

Guys I apologize but I won't be able to host tonight, if someone else can open the room tonight it would be greatly appreciated. If I can get home in time I will try to join but it will be late.
Thanks-Skylar
