Folks, I do apologize if I post and ask in the wrong place. I tried to research and did not find a way to do it. I saw folks doing 4K 60 fps game play replays for Youtube. I am not able to find a setting for this. When I do it, it is HD.

Would you know how?

I'm not sure if I understand your problem :D

Most youtubers use a video grabber device that is connected with the ps5 via hdmi and records the videostream as a video file on a computer.
The ps5 (probably) doesn't support the rendering of a 4k video file (I think it's a ps5 limitation for large files, something like 2GByte)

Content creators may upload a video in 4K at 60fps, but your device is what limits the playback options.

On my cell phone, playback is limited to 1440p because that is the maximum resolution my phones screen can display. However, if I view the same video on my TV, I'll have the option for 4K because my TV screen supports up to 4K.

I mention all of this because the screen shot above appears to be on a cell phone, so if you do manage to use a capture device to rip a 4K recording from your console and upload it to YouTube, you'll only get maximum resolution of 1080p if you're watching it on a display that maxes out at 1080p.

The maximum quality you can record in on the PS5 is 1080p60. For 4k60 you will need to buy a capture card, which is what those YouTubers will be using.

You can record 4K 60 on PS5 just fine, but only if you manually start the recording and have your manual recording settings set to 4K at 60 FPS.

The only thing is that it takes some time to fully process the HDR so that it displays correctly on HDR and SDR displays. Until then, it will appear washed out on SDR displays.

^^^ This is the correct answer.

I know because I recorded and uploaded a 4K60 video from the PS5 today.

EDIT -

Specifically,
  • Settings
  • Captures and Broadcasts
  • Captures
  • Video Clip Format
  • Manual Recording Resolution (change to 3840 x 2160)
