It's pretty easy to tell when people use mixed tires, because of the way the car has to fight itself to stay in a drift. Because the front tires are softer than the rear, it makes control unnatural, and the car off ballance. Usually entrances, and exits are more thrown then smooth, when mixing tires..........Originally posted by Catch-my-Drift?
Just messing with you about the twitching part SD... but please explain the unbalanced thing...

Thanx for that.. I will definately apply what you said with other drive trains.. but my style for 4wd is set and the way it is now, with all the fighting with the front tyres , is my technique and its already second nature... I'm not planning to change my style of 4WD drifting.. but thanx for the comments..

tweeking the suspension settings, ie toe camber and spring rates at front and rear can give the desired differences in grip without needing to mix tyres just a comment and not a judgement.
its also more natural, neutral and controlable
as an experiment i altered nothing but the front spring rate of a s14 and was quite surprised with the difference in control with each incriment adjusted, i know that was fr but its still aplicable.
its still a cool clip tho
I'm not sure, I just started doing that. I guess it kind of signifies, that I'll be back.... That the conversation, isn't over yet.......Originally posted by nightkids4ever
