I've always had a soft spot for the Jaguars đź‘Ť

Not sure if pun intended but great nonetheless.

Jamie McMurray had 2 different schemes that I would consider top 10 in 2003

And some other gems from the early 2000's NASCAR

I loved Jamie McMurray's IRWIN Tools scheme he had back in 2007. Dark blue/Purple and yellow blend well for me.

My favourites:

Aston Martin DBR9

Simple, yet gorgeous. The green paint fits the car fantastically, and the yellow bits are just the icing on the cake. :drool:đź‘Ť

The Gulf-liveried racing cars

I've never thought blue would match with orange so beautifully well, but they just did. Above are the 3 Gulf-liveried cars that I like the most. đź‘Ť

Porsche 956

The Rothmans livery looks great, but the victories this car has scored contribute the most.

BMW M3 E90 GT2 Art Car

A very special racing car from BMW. It looks fantastic in motion, even more so at night.

I apologize if you can't see the pictures. I found them all on Google, so I cannot assure you they're 100% safe.

Am I the only one that really loved this back in 2004? I used to race with it all the time in NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup.

Also, this 2004 gem

I always think NASCAR liveries never look very good due to the huge amount of small logos and text plastered all over them.
Even when a NASCAR has a simple design (even just one colour) it looks messy because of all the sponsor logos everywhere.

I also think the large numbers can actually detract from the livery too.

Big difference between Greatest and Iconic. One can say the M&M livery is Iconic for Busch but, not one of the greatest, even though original. The Silk Cut, Renown, Gulf liveries are examples of Greatest and Iconic. Richard Petty's original STP livery is Great and Iconic. These liveries hit you hard. You KNOW who is driving that car, YOU would want to drive that car with those colours. BMW art cars are the same.

I agree. If you could ditch all the crap between the number on the door and the front wheel, it would be a good start. I dont mind the large numbers though, provided they are part of the livery, not stuck on top of it as an afterthought.

Yes, Earth, that's what I mean. I can't see 30 years from now(if it even exists), a race team running LOWE's or Home Depot or Aflack wrap as retro livery.

Those associate sponsors aren't part of the actual livery.

I think this car got a bad rep at the time, the shape of the front wing didn't help it but from the right angle the Renault R29 is a properly good looking car

^Like all of the ING liveries, I feel it has 1 too many colours. Ditching the yellow, orange or red (or blue ING bits) would vastly improve it.
I'll just blame Total like for the later Enstone liveries :P

This was the best Enstone livery of recent times:
