I hit 55.537 just a few laps into this TT and for 2 days I can't improve it.... Usually I can manage a little better especially on London, but I can't get better than 55.7xx now. Wish I saved my fastest lap replay đź‘Ž

Managed a slight improvement to 54.193 back to 21st place atm.

EDIT: After reviewing several replays, I seem to be losing a lot of time going into and out of the left then right section before the kink to the s/f line, mainly that last right hander. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to help. Also, could use advice on a good trans setup as this recent trans bug really plays havoc on the way I usually setup my transmission. Thanks.

@redsuns23 .. Here is the tune....

It's a basic tune and the braking distance needed is rubbish for a 4WD. :irked: It is hard work to keep the car from sliding into barriers off the brakes. :nervous:

Managed 56.3 with this tune.

It was the reverse rome seasonal, I think I changed some as I went on but, this is what I had posted originally....back when I was a TT pup! lol.

I added a wing but dropped it to 105 and will probably remove it if I try any more laps

Did 5 laps and managed 56.1 with this tune.

Both tunes pretty much guarantee gold in this event. Thanks a lot, going to keep these settings. đź‘Ť

Also, could use advice on a good trans setup

In the Acura HSC?

Have you tried just moving the slider all the way left? 3rd gear pulls pretty good. Short shift a bit. Pretty flat torque and power curves, but when the torque falls off, there's no point in not shifting.

Hi all! I've been playing gran turismo since gt1 and have loved every single game. I am brand new to gt planet now. Love doing all the TTs and seeing where I can rank compared to u all. Love to see new tunes from u all for the cars, it helps me learn how to tune better. I consider myself a pretty good driver but still learning how to tune better. Have ranked in top 200 in world on a few occasions. Anyway, I'll get my silly question out of the way finally and shut up. Can anyone tell me how to find out where I rank in my region? P.S. Happy to be a member of gt planet!:gtpflag:

Been playing around with the Shelby for a bit trying to get the setup right, best I could manage was a 54.120, so I decided to try the HSC. After 2 laps with a stock setup did a 53.9. :dopey:

Can anyone tell me how to find out where I rank in my region?

As yet I'm not aware of any function that will allow you to filter by region. They did for the GT Academy but not for the seasonal TT's. :(

Thanks for the setup!

Will try this setup tomorrow.

Have already done a 57.4 but in a NSX '04.

Enjoying this TT more than the Apricot Hill one. Take it as a challenge to drive the car over the kerbs.

No, I'm using the Shelby, thanks anyway.

On this TT, I've taken the time to record my progression with upgrades in various stages, to give me some understanding on how they affect the performance of the car. I spent approximately an hour (effectively) with each stage. These are my times:

The car is the Shelby. It was driven with DS3, no AS, ABS=1, Everything else off.

1: Stock, (486 PP.) 57.047

2: +Racing Brakes, Carb. propellar shaft, Triple Plate Clutch. (486 PP.) 56.543

3: +Stage 3 Weight Red. + Windows Weight Red. (500 PP.) 55.901

4: +Susp., Trans., & LSD Upgrades (default settings) 55.195

5: +Camber to 0.0 - 0.0 (from 0.5 - 1.5) 54.856

6: +Carbon Bonnet/ 2kg Ballast at 0, Max speed: 220 km/h & Rear toe: 0.00 54.530

This is where i'm at now. I haven't touched most of the suspension, BB or LSD. I haven't tuned gears individually and I haven't tried to balance the car through Ballast. From here on I don't feel too confident so any good suggestions are welcome... :)

Well 55.037 is the best I can do after 500 miles of trying with the Acura HSC.

Moving onto the Shelby now, anyone using a wing on the Series One?

Cheers

Improved 300th of a second to a 57.2 in the Shelby.

Gained this time by switching off my ghost & friend's lines as they would distract too often, especially on this tight'n'twisty track!

Still will try to do better!

Det er dælme da nogle uhygelige tider du har sat der, men godt kørt

I finished with gold in this event, pause, exit and it just goes to black screen. I had to hard boot the PS3, 3 times now. Anyone else with problems?
Same glitch happened to me, immediately after getting gold (which took me 30 minutes of trial and error). Very concerning that this happened to you 3 times!

After taking a few days off to rest and falling to almost 50th place, came back today and improved to 53.985 in 32nd place atm. Got my tune dialed in finally to how it suits me, its just up to the driver now.

Nothing is more satisfying that your own tune being tuned to perfection.

Which car You're driving?

The Shelby. I've been up on my ghost by as much as .250 but end up losing it all through those two 90 degree turns and going through the dog leg to the s/f line. Its those two 90 degree turns that's really giving me fits, especially the right hander for some reason. That one is a hit or miss for me. If I could get that .250 that I'm missing, that would really make me happy. 3rd on my friends list though and 1st place in the U.S. so far, so I guess that's something to be happy about, especially after suffering a stroke not two weeks ago. That's just the warrior in me I guess and my gritty determination to be the best that I can be. I will not be denied damnit.

EDIT: Ok guys, really not feeling good right now, have a headache and having dizzy spells right now, so I think I'm going to call it a night. Been at this about 4 hours now which is way longer than I'm really supposed to play so I need to lie down for a bit. Guess I'm happy with my progress so far, really wish I could have grabbed those few tenths I'm missing but I guess its going to have to wait. Good night everyone, keep reaching for the top and race hard.

With Redsun's tune, managed a time of 56:541 to put me 3200th.

The RS200 is such a fun car to drive, mainly because it's a 4WD & the front wheels even provide added traction & grip.

After using the setup, I felt that the car wasn't braking well enough, inspite of racing brakes installed. So when coming p to the left-right turn sequence before the final right hander turn, I had to compromise on speed so as to brake in the right zone & get a good exit speed. Just love driving the car over the kerbs as it makes it so challenging.

Is any one facing issues of uploading images to their Facebook a/c as an error code always pops up. :banghead:

I understand as this track is so narrow & since we're driving on Sport hards, sliding is a way of life.

Am sure, every one must've made an error or two on their best lap & would be trying their best to rectify that error by going clean there, only to screw up elsewhere.

I enjoyed he RS200 more than the Shelby. Will try the GT40 as well.

For my standards, 3200th rank is an achievement. On my best lap even, there were places where I could've gone cleaner, smoother or faster. So trying to better the best lap is always a challenge. To avoid further distraction, I switch off the ghost & pay attention to my ghost marker on the map instead.

Man, I wish I could find out where I rank just in the U.S. I keep hearing comments about where people rank in there own country or region but I can't figure out how the heck to find out. Most important to me is my world ranking, but I am a little curious to find out where I rank in the U.S. :boggled:

Since there is no sorting of the leaderboards that I know of, you just have to start from the top and count down until you get to where you are on the board. I'm not sure the board goes past position 254 world wide. If it don't, then there is no way to know I guess. Mine was easy since I was already in 32nd place world wide. You have a good point though, I really wish there was a sorting option for the boards. Not just for country, but also by aids used, wheel/pad, ect.
