Great racing today chaps! You know who you are.
Wish I could have stayed for longer but I hope it stays like this.

Don't worry...I haven't been putting in much wheel time of late. Feels like my skills are going in the trash

Ren took a little off it by adjusting my tune.

2'18.421

The 1'00.000 T1 still evades me. :grumpy:

Great job Phil :sly: Keep up the good work! 👍

I'm going to start racing in roughly 3 hours if anyone wants to join me. I'm going for a new pb race time as well as single lap race time before this event is over. Carl recommended that I drastically turn down the FFB on my Fanatec wheel a couple of days ago...seemed to really do wonders for my consistency, as I could much easier place the car where I wanted as well as having better feel for the finer vibrations that come through the wheel that allow you to feel the front tires level of grip. When I was testing the reduced FFB I had done three 2'16.3's, one 2'16.2xx, and a couple of 2'16.4-6xx's within roughly 7 laps...so hopefully I can put together something similar in a race today :dopey:

I also had done a few adjustments to my race tune. I changed the front camber to 2.0, lowered the ride height to -30/-30, changed the spring rate to 8/8 and the damper to 7/8, and changed the rear toe to -.00, and lastly the brake bias to 8/6

In @ 55

Edit: Just did a pb race time of 11'25.299 that you can put up on the brag board  Should have had a 11'24.xxx but made some silly mistakes on the 2nd and 3rd laps. It's hard getting a chance to put in a solid race time in, as most of the time you end up getting put in with at least one punter who tries desperately to push you off into the sand at turn 1, or have faster cars through T1 like the elise, that just barge there way through to the front  So I must thank Marooned for being the only other driver in this one...that I knew I could trust 👍

I also did a pb race lap two races ago - 2'15.782

Holy crap, tell me that was the aid of a slipstream from a 747!

And as for that fraudulent picture, clearly that isn't you Mr OFFLINE :D

All the best
Maz

 It's my undercover identity :sly: I accidentally pressed auto sign out when I was trying to exit a race earlier this morning, and ever since I did that it's been showing me as offline...I gotta figure how to fix that :scared:

Actually a 2'15.7xx isn't really that fast with the draft...considering that we've done 2'16.1-2's in free air. I've done several 2'16.2-3's in a race, so I wasn't surprised when I saw a draft lap well under 2'16.xxx. All you need is to have a car of similar straight line acceleration but with a 1-2 second slower lap time in front, then sit back to start the lap and slowly catch up so you can get a massive draft out of the exit of the hairpin and then make the pass before 130R. Realistically you can go much faster than 2'15.7xx if you time the draft perfectly and run a tidy lap 👍

 @ all of you guys :D

And thanks TA for showing the whole world how slow I am compared to you :sly:

Things will change from now on, I decided to get rid of my crappy tune and use Maz's, tried it yesterday for the last race (:02) and did fine for a start at least I wasn't going side ways unless I wanted too :D. 👍 Maz

Edit:

TA, regarding the offline thing, I guess you signed out but stayed in the race window (the one where we press start) if that's the case then you'll be offline...but then it should only be for one race!!! :odd:

Got one for the brag-board myself again: a 2'16.618 in TA's slip. Depressing to have this best personal mark sitting half a second behind our alien's free run times, but I'm happy to have been able to stay on an alien's tail for a whole lap, that's not the case too often

Ren is :( that this blast comes to an end now. On top of that I can't make it tonight, but I hope you guys give it a worthy last evening of tight battles!
But Ren is also :) to look back on a fun month and would like to say  and thanks to all who participated and made it as great as it was!

And now its almost down to seeing what PDs got up the sleeve for us next month!

Seeyall on track, somewhere 👍

Ren read your PM please i need your help. . . . .

Read it, and responded :D Hope it helps you.
If there is still an open question you can also just put it in here. The guys in here a great bunch (I can at least speak for THIS race event) and will definitely have the needed tips for you. For general questions (you know the common FAQ) a search in the forum also helps a lot. There's little that hasn't been discussed, and we all started at some stage...

See you around 👍
