Also, this entire time I've been using 2nd gear for T4 (left hander) when 3rd is much more ideal :dunce: That's been costing me an easy tenth or two, so I'll probably have another go tonight and try and nail a .7xx or possibly .6xx đź‘Ť

Not until today after a few races with you :lol: Something didn't seem right as you powered out of there and I couldn't make up all that much ground in your draft. I tried 3rd gear the next lap and got a much better run of course :)

Sorry for my driving in that last race. Wasn't focused at all :ouch:

Its was about time you did a mistake anyway :lol: Our races was exelent though! 2 very fast races ;) 3rd gear have I used since I got my hands on your tune, feels natural. I use all your tweaks on your tune, feels better for each tweak :dopey: No new best times but because of your last damper fix low 52's is easyer :)

My real name is Laszlo. I'm Hungarian and we pronounce my nick name LACKO in a different way to native English speakers. To pronounce it right I try to make it English LOL LATZKO but my English friends can't pronounce it the right way because in your language you don't have that sound.

I still use S2/S3 that's why we bumped each other a few times. I think you have been using S3/S3.

Announcement: You guys better get in here tonight and tomorrow plenty to participate in the last races carried out on S tyres, cause on request/agreement we will modify this event starting Monday!

=> Manly Men's 512BB Racing! N1's front and rear will be rule! But no worries, I am not intending to copy the previous brilliant "no mercy" idea, meaning no driving aids :lol:. If it was me I would indeed forbid ABS, since I'm a bit puristic as far as cars go, and I'm sure the 512 didn't have ABS factory wise...but this is still a computer game and I find the 512 is hands full enough the way it is, I don't want to additionally have to work the brakes with a toothpick! Besides that I think one of the main gains of this event is that usually most people entering the race also finish it, very often in a nice pack even đź‘Ť. I think that would change without abs at least on 1 (IMO of course).

So, unless this thread now flows over with protests that's the plan. Normally I would have put a POLL up to get everybodies opinion, but I'm incapable to even remove the old POLL and so far nobody could tell me how it can be done :confused:. So I'll do it like the politicians, as long as there's no revolution it will be done! Think we'll have a blast!!! :cheers:

Update: we've been testing N1s for a bit now. Thx TA, RPM and Grenade for joining in!
Conclusions so far: N1s are ruled out! Reason being: lap times are too slow to finish races before the time limit runs out. Assuming the odd participant driving decent lap times out front at least N2s are necessary to finish a race. Besides that it is a bit less hardcore. Guess I can't call the event then "Manly Men's..." anymore :lol: since I'm already starting to compromise. But the N2s are still challange enough for sure!

I might also "allow" N3s, but then a PP limit of 539 would be applicable (that's the max the N2 equipped cars can reach).

I'd really like everyone's opinion on this! On the one hand a few and I are keen on a new challange, on the other hand I don't want to ruin a beautiful event!

So let's here it! :)

RPM just suggested a trial evening.... maybe we should do a couple on N1s, but let's time that on the chat, right.

Oh very clever! Maybe I should have looked into this before making the big announcements :ouch::banghead: Since I just missed the 41:30 race I thought I 'll give the 512 a go on N1 front and rear => gives us max 527PPs.... Even on N3s all around only 449PP.

So here's my new thinking: let's do the N1s, at least then all the Clios etc can take off and don't bother us any longer. Only prob is gonna be hairpin 1 Lap 1, and since waiting at the starts is banned I do see a bit of chaos coming here.

The race I'd like to see would be no aids (abs,tc,sc), reset to default setings, put on s1 tires and adjust hp and weight only to achieve 550pp. Any car that qualifies is in. I've been trying them out and there all fairly close. Of course this would be on the honour system, but I trust you all.
 
i had only two good races today, thx Mr.V, TA and Chunkee. đź‘Ť

most problem for me is the brake point for the first corner. :crazy:
and it had take some hours to find a setup whats working for me.

best free run so far, 1.51,878. but it can be still a bit faster. :sly:
