Thanks for the videos TA ! 👍 Great lap :cheers: Why do you gear to 3rd before two last turns, for better turn in? I am faster with 2.gear in those turns.

New time free run: 1.51.818 T1:23.238 T2: 58.979 :sly: Very suprised when I saw my T2 time so I overcooked it in hairpin :ouch:

I do the same thing often in these last corners...
In 2nd there is just too much wheelspin,so if you stay/go in third you can have a better exit out of the corner....:)
I am pretty sure TA does it for the same reason...👍

Great lap Richard :cheers: Your T1 and T2 splits are awesome...especially T1 👍 I'll have to try playing around with my line through turn 1. It's a weird turn because the inside of the road has much more grip under braking, but of course you then end up sacraficing your line by doing so. Your t1 split is almost a tenth up on mine, so I must be doing something wrong :lol:

As to why I upshift to 3rd prior to entry for the last corner - It just seems to be more consistant for me, as the rear is more stable under braking when you downshift to 2nd just prior to turn in.

Rudi: I will give your gears a try today and see how it works. Thanks for the advice 👍
 
Thank you TA. My entry through turn one is quite different from yours. You are quite agressive, but I think you be suprised to see how little tire squel I produce in that turn. will try to post my replay from a friends pc.

Replay should work, I've sorted the folder structure out and put it in post #1 (for some reason within the .rar you had TA's .660 included LOL) I chucked that out and zipped it again, convinced it should work. Thx for posting! 👍

*Edit*: somethings weird.... copied it onto the ps, its a .818 btw :-), but it won't show up in my replays ??? *puzzled* Anybody more successful than me?

Hi all, will get in on this event at the weekend, looks like fun. :D Richard, your using the downloaded GT5P right? Replays cant be viewed by Disc versions, only works for the same versions. ;)

Not a trainsmash mate... I've redone everything, can't get it to show up under my replays in the game... Funny thing, too, is that it doesn't get copied into my replays folder (in the XMB). It stands alone in my savedata. And the folder in which the actual data is stored begins with an N...., I think on most other replays I've dealt with that folder starts with B.... Strange. This isn't from an NTSC version perhaps? No clue... You'll get it sorted sometime I bet, no worries.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! NOW I read Hyperspeeds input!!! LOL, a bit too late, but I learnt something! Thx for the heads up Hyper!

i found my mistakes and i think that the best i will manage is something like
52:3xx.
no way below that.
i will see only your tales:):)

I wouldn't worry mate, i know some of the times the big boys are doing are well out of touch of us mid pack normal people :sly: when there's multiple 512's on the grid, well it can be an entertaining race no matter where you are in the group.

Updated OCT! Not a bad time at all, I only found some pace 2 days ago, after like 2 weeks of driving this car on this track, there's always hope! Your time will bring you right into the competition!!! CM hit the nail on the head with his comment! 👍 Hope to seeya on track buddy!
 
Cannot race for sh it tonight, first race some pleb in a Clio kept taking me out, second race took myself out twice, one more go to see if i can drive, if not think i will have a break from the 512 for a few days, weeks, months
 
Yesterday did suck a bit indeed, not more than 3 512s to be seen at the same time, more Clios, Ellies and NSXs, the first two vehicles mentioned living up to their usual side effects. :grumpy:

But today's another day I figured... anyone on later?

it was the only way to go into the 51s:)
1:51:8xx with HUGE slip from mr.Volcano.
and also i have to apologize IF i made something wrong in one race after
the straigh and while i was in the middle of mr.V and Sinibomb and suddenly i show both to the grass while we where braking for the first corner.i didnt see anything only the cars disappear but if i ve made something wrong really sorry.

Some fun races with CT this afternoon after too long away from the track, will try to get on again this evening and more over the weekend
