Sorry for missing the last 2 GPs guys. I had planned on telling you but simply forgot lol.
I probably won't finish the rest of the season because with work and training, I just don't have the time.

I have the BJJ British Championships in September, so should really be focusing on that instead. I would still come in on Fridays, but i'm too damn competitive to settle for anything less than me doing my best =P lol.

Hi Kak, thanks for letting us know. So does this mean you will not be attending any further races? Because if so, this could mean Ozzy could take your seat.

Okay, there may be a possibilty but we need Kak's confirmation before you can officailly start racing.

The name of the race is GTP 5th Champion. The other terms and conditions plus the current championship table and previous race results can be found on page 1 of this thread.

Yeah, he can have my place. I'd rather someone get some use out of it :) lol. You never know, I may be back for a couple during the season if there are spaces, but more often than not I won't be there.

However, i'll definitely be there for F1 2010 ;)

Thanks Kak for letting us know, its ashame you can't make it as I would of pushed you to being a title contender but if anything comes up where you may be able to join, we'll try and slot you in.

Thanks for the races you've been here for Kak and hope your other League goes well.

However, there are no available seats at the moment although nothing has been heard from Ozzy since he asked about joining.

If Ozzy doesn't turn up this Friday and we hear no response I guess you could fill in for him.

All the rules, team etc are on page 1.

Theres a choice now between Red Bull, Toyota and Super Aguri.

Qualified 5th, Finished 6th.
I had another excellent qualifying lap, clocking a 1'14.9 which I think is one of my best laps around here. I later beat it early in the race with a 1'14.8 though. I had practiced a bit before hand today and finally found a line I was happy with around the final two corners! I've spent 2 years trying to figure that corner section out and I've finally done it.
As for the race, well I was up to 3rd on the 1st lap but made a mistake quickly by dropping a wheel on the grass and spinning.
I basically spent the rest of the race playing catch up, eventually getting up to 4th after Nev made a mistake. He quickly came back and I dropped to 5th while battling PJ. I basically battled with PJ for the whole race, I made 2 further spins which meant I had to catch PJ a total of 3 times, resulting in me finishing 6th. I think that race was karma for Imola - PJ was faster than me there but made mistakes stopping him beating me. I was definitely faster than PJ today but made too many little mistakes. Great racing PJ 👍. Good team result too, though I would have liked to have beaten Lofasz too, I think his pace was beyond me today.

Not much to say really, was up with everyone till I spun at the start of lap 2, wasn't quick at all here anyway as shown by Ardius spinning 3 times but still finishing 6 seconds ahead of me lol. Alfa Romeo are still up with Arrows though thanks to a great 4th place from Lofasz.
 
Race Report:

Started 2nd, Finished 3rd.

Got off to a good start battling with MadAd and Gyles and thought I had and edge over them but anyhow, the race went on, and I to push for the win seen as I could come away leading thr title fight however, thanks to freaking LAG, as I went round the final corner, my connection froze for a split second and span me into the wall. *********, this left me last with an 8 second penalty and I was so angry as I thought a win was possible, so this left me playing catch up and moved from 8th-3rd which all in all was good but when you started 2nd and was leading, NO. I thought as I crossed the line, so whats the points defecit now? 5 points, if I don't beat MadAd at Monaco and Silverstone then my title fight is over, 5 points is big enough but letting it grow any larger is an option, my target was to comeaway losing a minimum of 2 points but lost 4!

Overall, I had some fun battling through the field I guess however, I am very annoyed and upset because of LAG, had that incident not of happened, I dont know but it did and you have to move on.

Well done to MadAd, as much as it kills me to say it, a very good win, you had it under control once and edge was pulled out over Gyles, and well done to him as well, scoring pole position and 2nd place, not bad. I also think PJ racked up one of his best reults coming 5th with team-mate Ardius in 6th so a good 7 points go to them and FunkMonk made his debut and ended up scoring 1 world championship point. McLaren, however, scored no points with neither driver turning up!

Onto Monaco where last season was good but to many errors were made, I go there with expectations of a win and my target for Silverstone is beat my team mate.

See you next Friday where hopefully LAG wont interfere with my race!

I love racing at Catalunya and put it on pole with a brilliant lap on my final run, prior to that I was on a 1:13.8 which would have put me third.

Off to a good start and Nev flew past me :yuck: It was great to see Ardius make a guest appearance in third and then was no longer there :crazy:

I tried my best to keep up with the leaders Nev and F1MadAd and it paid off. But disaster for Nev with only a few laps in, he hit the wall, but was miles away from it, not sure what happened there but very unlucky. I could see Lofasz was very close behind me in third, good job there until the first round of stops.

For the entire race I stayed behind F1MadAd who drove a superb race. The last few laps I eased off as there was no way I was going to catch the leader but did not drop too far back just in case there was an opportunity to take the win.

Great result for F1MadAd and a fantastic come back by Nev.

If only I could match my qualy pace in the race 👎

Got off to a good start, and was battling for the lead with NEV after the first corner. GYLES was very close behind also for the next lap or so proving his quali pace was real. Then out of nowhere NEV hit the pit wall on the final corner, i couldn't believe it as he looked miles away. Was really gutted for both NEV and the team, cos that looked like a really unfair accident. Pressed on and GYLES was still keeping me more than honest from behind. This lasted up to the first pit stop, but i went a lap longer and managed to pull a slight gap. For the rest of the race i still had to keep up the pace as GYLES was still near enough to take the lead if i got a penalty or a spin. Made no mistakes and drove a clean race to the finish. Great showing from GYLES, and also a shout out to LOFASZ on his debut a good performance. More importantly though hard luck to NEV as i really think he would have won the race without that crash. Catalunya not one of my best tracks, and with the pace between me and NEV looking so similar i think he would have edged it in the end. But NEV don't start talking like that, the season is young and plenty of points up for grabs yet. See ya all next week :D
 
Qualified 6th, finished 8th

Sorry for leaving early guys.

Qualifying was ok, though I feel I could have got a little better out of the car. Got off to a decent start, establishing myself in 5th by the second lap. However, my internet connection started to lag badly, resulting in 4 crashes in which I was severely damaged, and probably half a lap down on the rest of the field; soon after, I lost my internet connection completely.

A shame, hopefully better performances in the future.

Haha, okay, light rain it is for Silverstone.

Last year I came 3rd to King and Gyles so I'm hoping this season will see me 2 places higher and Monaco, just up 1 place.
 
Although Catalunya used to be one of my least favorite tracks in the game, I've come around to like it more, now that I can get decent lap times. I think my 4th place finish was thanks to no accidents and a reasonable pace. My pit times were both 7.2 seconds, but I did take it easy on the pit entrance - the tail always gets light when making that downhill right hander. It was fun racing with you guys again, although I didn't see much of anyone after the first lap except for Fuzz as he passed me playing catchup after his unfortunate incident.

I'm definitely looking forward to Monaco, as its one of my favorites.

I've been using the McLaren, and nobody's said anything yet. I'm not sure if anyone else already had claim to it (though I wouldn't be surprised with most of you guys being from the UK). Let me know if you'd prefer I use one of those three choices above instead.

It was quite fun actually, trying to catch up with you set me a good challenge for the race although fighting for P1 was there.

With the car choice, Ginty uses the McLaren but he didn't come last night so you could use it but Ginty is McLaren man.
 
Looks like i miss a good chance of scoring good points. Sorry for not showing up my internet has been down since wednesday but it's all fine now so i am back.

I also see it's wet at silverstone should be a close one again nev.

Bad news. To cut a long story short i'm gonna have to miss this week's races, as i won't have internet coverage due to a c**k-up in switching internet providers. I have managed to hire a 3G wireless dongle to see me through, but this isn't fast enough to play online games :(

I know there's no chance of postponing, but is there any chance of doing just 1 race this week rather than 2 so i don't lose out too much?? Also NEV you better find a good fast driver as a stand-in, we wanna keep Heskeths at the top :)

Damn, that aint to good but I suppose I can take advantage of this in the drivers championship.:sly:

I'm not sure whether we could do that or not, I don't have a problem with it so if everyone else is ok then it'll be just Monaco but if there is less than a majority vote then we will do both races.:guilty:

I'll try find someone to fill in for you but I don't know anyone who I actually know who has the game. I probably could get someone decent, I know a couple of fast racers just not to fast around the streets of Monaco and maybe Silverstone.:)
 
I'd be perfectly happy to do a full race for Monaco 👍. I'd also be willing to fill in for Ad if you want and forefeit points from Arrows for 1 race, or maybe Kak or someone could fill in?

I think 3 races is a lot, I think maximum would be 2 because some were very tired as it does get to about 12;45 after 2 races so a 3rd one would take it to about 1:10 and then uploading and commenting, shutting down, wont be asleep until about 2 in the morning here in the UK:)
 
I would rather do both as i hate monaco and have practised a small bit at silverstone this week. I know how you feel F1MadAd i was having internet problems last week and missed out on points.
 
Okay just Monaco this week because it seems more popular to do that.

King, I suppose the good side is you get to perfect Silverstone.
