6 year old boy in Hot Air Balloon

Ok, So the balloon lands but the kid is not in it? Where did he go then as it says no one was seen to have fell from the balloon.

I doubt that highly, Still as long as no one is hurt there isn't any problems I guess.

Some of those "rescue attempts" are pretty ludicrous though there is no way any of them could have worked.

The kid has been found alive!!!!!!! He was found hiding in the family's house attic in a cardboard box.

That is the only reason I thought publicity stunt, they had their 15 minutes on Wife Swap and now want more. A cardboard box in a garage attic(normally they are difficult to get into) is not the normal spot that a child will hide unless they are told to do so.

id say stunt, im mad because my heart was dropping when I saw how the disc like balloon was flying and spinning and tilting...

I found this quote in the Yahoo! article and it only furthers my setup theory.
Richard Heene adamantly denied the notion that the whole thing was a big publicity stunt. "That's horrible after the crap we just went through. No."

Normally you wouldn't get that offensive over a question like that just minutes after he was found.

I don't think it's possible to say what it is normal in a situation like that. If it wasn't faked then I'd imagine they're full of all kinds of emotions right now. I might react harshly as well if I just went through something like that. I mean people who have nothing to do with the family were distraught with what was happening, look at some of the posts in this thread.

Last I checked, I had thought there were laws for causing this much commotion just for kicks & fame....
Yes, but laws haven't stopped people from doing things like this before. As I have said before, a child just doesn't clime into a garage attic. They normally require a ladder, chances are if someone was in your garage attic you would know.

Heard they just had an interview with Larry King. Pick Fox News, please! Better news!

this kid cost me $17 because i stayed an extra 15 minutes at home to watch the thing land and nobody in it. i had to park in the parking garage. man i wish they would have just found the kid while the thing was still flying so i could have stopped watching it and not have been stuck to the TV. but good thing the kid was found safe (if it wasnt staged that is) and its a good thing that ballon missed those power lines on the way down or it would have been bad.

Well, the boy kind of screwed that up for them on Larry King Live, apparently he said "We did it for a show". Not to mention the dad was clearly trying to work up a cry on Today(which didn't work).

:22 in that video gives it away more than his comment. There is no way a child would get up there without anyone knowing about it.
