No me too. Last week I'm gonna go crazy with this one. Hopefully in the 7.30.

I might give it a couple more tries too never mind it stresses me out. This Nurb time trial is too long, hard and unforgiving. Personally I can't wait for the next rounds of seasonals with real races regardless of difficulty. That is more my cup of tea.

2J 7.29.xxx,i have 1.25.xxx in my hands, but last corner out :banghead: there is couple more, almost out,but i survive somehow.
Now i can say, that is more than maximum attack.

This guys are always fast. Always
But then the question: Where is the ''wolf''? He must win this with one hand and a beer in the other? :P
Weirdly wolf didn't the last 1, and now yous saying that scares me

Ladies and gentlemen, we have some good news. Drumroll please......((((((DRUMROLL))))))....(((((Bih ding Tishhhh)))...
You're truly (that's me), after much trial and tribulation, much cussing, high blood pressure, tranquillisers and such....has FINALLY gotten Gold with the very 2J, Hotsauce tune (Active Steering on "Strong" though, and TC on "3")....YIPEEEEE!!!!!.....with a grand time of 8:25.05.... jumped from 20,000plus to 18,000plus to now 15,377th in the world rankings. It was not easy mind you, and still took a couple retries after you know what on the devil Nurb but in the end persevered like a good soldier.

Having that said, I don't think I could go through that stress anymore, nor can repeat, so I shall retire now on the Nurb and call it a day.
Just happy to get the gold. Thought I would never have gotten it to be honest. Anyway, all's well that ends well.
Thanks for the encouragement along the way.

On a side note, I think what makes a lot of difference with the 2J is that it is able to have the highest top speed (significantly so) on the long straight thereby cutting down on overall time. Just gotta be careful with the handling on the other straights, hills and bends because it is light and zippy and not as stable as some other heavier, slower cars may be. So needs care. But yes, it is the fastest in my observation.

Ugh, turned about 12 laps, I think 6 counted. Maybe. Sitting at #3,402 with a 7:55.703 achieved with the TS030 and a tune from @praiano63 with a shorter final gear - 3.200 and still not hitting the limiter on the final straight. I had a lap turned in with a tune from @shaunm80 that was within a second or two, also with the final set to 3.200. My weakest corner is easily the one that punishes you the most for being slow, the sweeper leading onto the final straight. Obviously time to be made up there if others can run taller gearing than me. The 'Ring really makes me want to kiss my DS3 goodbye more than anything in the game...

There's currently over 3,000 players who don't need my advice, but I haven't seen anyone mention the crown on the track. It can be especially pronounced on the later part of the lap. Paying special attention to staying on the proper side of that ridge is a big part of not getting a lap invalidated for me. Hope this helps someone.

Time to go buy a 2J and learn to drive it - seems to be a must.

Also, congrats to @davidt33 for sticking this grinder out! Don't let PD defeat you with all those 1s and 0s!

Still no 2J tunes in sight :grumpy:, so I made my own. It's a rough setup for sure, I put maybe an hour into this.. not nearly as much love as my Monaco setup :D. A highly skilled pilot can get this into the 7:10's no doubt. @GT_Rajman

Update #1: I made some changes to make it faster but also keeping the balance. Also added gearing.

Tried the tune out - gearing was definitely better, handling too once I'd dialled out a bit of understeer that I was experiencing. It handles the occasional kerb much better than the tune I was using (didn't manage to get close to orbit like you), and felt faster all round.

Imagine my disappointment when, at the end of my first clean lap, I was only 0.8 seconds faster than my previous best - not much on a lap this long.

Still, if I can find 0.8 seconds every day I'll be in number 1 spot in 38 days! Would be happy with 0.8 seconds at Tsukuba though.......

T500 is fix,but what an earth, same speed even faster, but 1-2km before carousel 2 high speed sector all grip is GONE and out.Or do i have keep gear 3 and full gas and hope the best, there is some kind places...Gt5 driving force this not happening.:eek:maby 7.25 have try old one.

Edit With 2J and not full throttle, when this happening.

Not stock, but does 615PP count? :) I find going in and out to change the oil a little annoying.

Finally got into the 7s from 8.05. The amount of red laps was extraordinary! Knowing that I had red-lapped a 7.55 previously had me pushing way too hard in the first half of the track. Certainly more out there.

Happened to guess correctly and. Picked the F1mclaren gold on 2nd clean lap.

Now trying the Jeff Gordon #24 Nascar stock car . Lotta giggles the car is nuts on this course but gold time is easy if you can control the throttle..

Out of bordom today I went back in with the vacuum clean....I mean 2J. Figured I'd set the cruise a little faster and try to get under 8:00 and 12,000 or so spot.

Got a 7:43 for 2200. Had a couple laps that were in the 7:30's but red. Things happen fast on the track.

Watching the replay of GT Rajman was crazy. Pitching the car and dropping a gear at 140 mph to drift thru a turn with one tire off the track, over and over.

That's not normal.

That's why some of us will never manage the alien times, the way to achieve them is alien to us.....

Note the pole time for the past weekend's 24 hr event in the GT3/SP9 class was 8:14.5, so that would be a "platinum" target using true GT3 type cars in game.

Kaz' team M6 did an 8:23 and the GT Academy GT-R did 8:27. Run these kind of times and you too can believe.

No need to really turn this into an arcade event using 2J. I like the Corvettes which can be detuned to be similar to the Callaway Gt3 cars used in Europe.

Last year, or was it two years ago? The gold time was 8:40.0 PD expects better from us.
