Can't seem to break into the 9's. Spent a lot of time dialing in suspension and body. Spent about 30 mins on tranny but can only get 10.40's? One thing I forgot to do was lock my diff (5/60).

Can this car even break into the 9's? I so I'll keep at it. Just wanting a domestic old school beast to put up with the recent Cuda's I been seeing online.

Yeah she don't have enough power to be able to break into the 9s bro.

That, the GTO (2004) and the Challenger (1970). The old Challenger can make it into 9.7s. The Cobra can break 9.4s.

Can the non-RM'd challenger do 9.7's ? I just got one and tried to make a "Vanishing Point" replica but that damned black roof spoils it.

Thanks for the input. Just trying to go against the grain if ya know what I mean. Those Cudas are tempting though. I have an SS Chevelle in the stable. Maybe I haven't touched it much because you ant change the OEM paint. I'll send the Z28 I my son, LOL. He been asking for it since he can't RM his 69' SS.

I think the best the Z28 RM can do is mid 10.2s. The fastest '69 Camaro but its a shame they lack the horsepower. It's launch can take a 9.9 car for half a track before passing it, unless you get treed.

The '97 SS can get into 10.1s, if I'm not mistaken. And the '10 SS is the fastest getting into 9.8s.

Yup. Your just soo good at catching peoples mistakes huh

Hahaha yea I'm a good spelling and grammar n@zi too :sly:

Lol not much goes past me, even though the name is GTO coupe 5.7 '04

The 6.0 LS2 GTO was faster than the 5.7, too bad they couldn't have put that version in the game. I think it would've ran with the Cuda or the '04 Vette.

Probably. Need to get a 7.5l Mustang in here.

Would GT5 be updatable for sown thing like that? They have been adding cars so I don't see why not. If there's a demand for it I'm sure they won't turn the thought away. IRL the 5.7 goat was a waste IMO. I owned the LS2 6.0 for a good two weeks till the bank said "Sorry"! Cars I took out apples to apples were the B7 Audi RS4, E46 M3, and an older moded FC RX7 with BAT (Big Ass Turbo). Ran into an old Audi with an inline5 turbo and it pulled on me from an 35 roll.

I've got a 5.8 in my truck (built) and it hauls ass so I'd imagine the 5.7 wasn't that bad.

The LS1 350 is a solid block, ~330-350hp, rating depended what year & what car it was put in. Just the LSX series blocks alone have many inexpensive performance upgrades so, basically, you can swap in LS2/3/7 intakes, as well as bigger throttle bodies, exhaust kits, 1.7 roller rockers, and a bigger camshaft. Just bolt-ons alone can turn that 350hp into 415 or higher.

None of the LS motors are bad. Even the LT motors with aluminum heads can make power. My thought was just potential from factory stock.

I'm not sure but I think the iron LT motors came in the trucks.

Same with Ford. The 290/302 will exchange parts with the 351W (depending on year), but in general. Bolt ons for the 351W will get you up to 800hp if you know what you doing (of course supercharged) but you can get over 500 with ease of N/A power. You don't need a big block to make big block power. Not too mention the block weighs 100lbs less.
