Is it just me or do I see some 70s in that front end. Look how it's flat on the ends where the lights would be then comes to a point. I almost want to say I see a hint of Pontiac.

The camo makes it look like a Firebird, but it's hard to tell if the upper grille is split up or is open. Based off of what I can see, it looks as if it is more early second Gen Firebird than Camaro.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Horizontal grille? Horizontal eyes?

I get the '70s influence, but it is difficult to tell much of anything from the front of that car, covered with that much cammo. My worst fear is that it looks like the over-inflated 5th-gen model in Transformers 4, but this one still seems to have square shoulders and so on.

This is the vibe I'm getting:

That grille looks ridiculously wide in there.

Those headlights just make the thing cringe worthy. I really want to see a render with a different color and a far different set of headlights.

Look at the spy shots and then look at the render and tell me the render doesn't look like the test car. Its the most accurate render to date.

I'd really like it if they dropped the whole retro thing. Give it a modern body, give it a good engine selection and offer it with a 6-speed manual and DCT, and finally give it a good suspension setup that will make it a proper sports car all for less than $40k.
Didn't they try that with the '04 GTO?

I rarely see them. When they do show up at a car meet, there's only a handful (2 or 4). Rarely anybody likes them or even approaches the cars. Even the drivers don't stick around. They wander off into the classic GM aisle or JDM aisle.

I haven't see one of those GTO's in about 6 years and only saw a few G8's the year it was released, none since. I do think both Pontiacs were pretty lackluster to look at but I think I'd take both over the 5th gen Camaro.

Of course the renders look ugly. They're going for a retro-look of a generation that was about as aesthetically pretty as the turd generation.
