This better just be a render and not the Pontiac Aztec turned into a muscle car.
Did you even bother to look at the pictures I posted 20 minutes ago of the test mule?

I think it's big. Not giving me hope for a big weight reduction...
It looks even bigger than the current car, and it's already horrifically overweight. At least Ford haven't lost the plot with the new Mustang.

I'm hoping GM takes a stand and shrinks the damn thing while saving interior space and giving it better visibility. Maybe that'll give Ford the incentive from getting their ass kicked to shrink the Mustang so it's not such a lard ass.

Looks a little wider to me. Bigger, I dunno. It looks a bit more interesting than the last couple generations of Camaros. Still veering to that new Mustang though, it looks a little more unique. Granted, this is just a prototype, so maybe we shouldn't read so far into it...

I agree. The new Mustang sounds really good, but without any American competition it could easily languish into a heavy cruiser for old men. Like the current Camaro or Challenger.

Well, it looks like this:

Which, in person, wasn't all that bad. Makes sense if they want the sales to blow up internationally, especially in China. Lighter is all that matters, and even if the CTS can ring in at 3600lbs, I see no reason why a Camaro can't.

Where's that from?

Oh I didn't notice the vents in the hood at first. I like that.

Augh! It looks horrible! It looks even bigger than the current one, too!

And here I was expecting something new and interesting.

I guess we'll see how much the market really likes retro styling from the sales figures of the new Mustang vs. Camaro.

Is it just me or does the roof from the b pillar back and some of the body lines look like a '69 Mustang?

No, not really. The Mustang is sleek with a long, sloping rear window. It looks like it's moving forward all the time. But the Camaro just looks fat and bulbous, like Snorlax. It's tall, it's thick, the greenhouse is almost totally round like Snorlax's fat belly and it generally just looks stubby and fat. Actually, it looks quite like a Buick Lacrosse. Hideous.

I do see a lot of Mustang but I also see a lot of second gen. I suppose the A pillar doesn't have as steep of rake as the old ones though.

I took it Labor Day Weekend at the Berger Super Chevy Show here in Grand Rapids, MI. They had two of the cars from Transformers, Bumblebee here, as well as that green Corvette. Honestly, the car looked surprisingly good in person compared to how weird it looked in pictures. It isn't much more than a wide-body kit on a 2014 Camaro, with a few extra details inside and out.

If the new car looked like that, I wouldn't be super-upset. It seemed reasonably modern in person, with some fairly obvious ties to the current car. Not all that different than the new Mustang...
