I wondered before this event if it would be hacked, Reason is im in a cop cruise club and every so often we get the hackers with a bugatti running 400mph and have to kick em out of the lobby. Shame they cant tune and run their way to gold or even ask for help.

Sooo....the cheater got boot, and hopefully banned. Good spotting guys. *tips hat*. I bow to your superior spotting.

One name I'm not seeing yet on the top ten is Rahman. Wondering how come he's not in yet as I noticed from previous TTs he's a regular/familiar feature in the top 3 or number 1 position.

If you can't remember and learn a short (and famous) track like this one within the hour, I wish you good luck for making it for the top 250 in the 2J, but I guess you would not make it to the top 1.000 and I bet a sixpack of your favourite  that you will NEVER get anywhere close to the top 250 (regardless of the car)!
But as I said: I wish you good luck, and talkative as you are, we will read of your progress anyway...:D

3:09.696 now in my 2J Ranking: 277. There is still a second in it i think. Believe me beer and i drive with the sambabus on the Ring :P
I can only get faster. :gtpflag:

Some days ago I came across this video. I guess it was the fastest lap of last year's race as he completes the lap in 3:17. Then, yesterday I've watched a few laps from the top 10. They make this looks awfully slow.

Anyway, I've tried both Peugeot and I couldn't do better than 3:18, while using an almost stock Pescarolo I managed to do 3:11.1 and then I got deleted a few 3:10.x because of GT's stupid penalty system. So, I think the limit lies between 3:09 and 3:10 with this setup. The only things I've changed so far are Brakes to 6-6, added Turbo phase 2 and Downforce to 480-720. Any suggestions for improvements?

Is It possible to get a Formula gt on 700 PP ??

That move on 1:08 = red lap in the game. So frustrating :P

I have a question. I cant get faster as 350 km/h. Some tips to get faster on the long straight would be welcome:tup:

I reached 373 km/h with the Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd '05, got Silver after 7/8 attempts with different cars. Make 3:18:404

Transmission setting just increased top speed to 390 km/h with full down force (600/850). Power setting just with Mid RPM Range Turbo Kit and decreased Power Limiter to get 700PP.

Good luck!

Slowly getting my time down, but only at 0.1 or 0.2 seconds at a time! It seems to be difficult to work out where there is the most time to be gained on this track - do you go for low downforce, faster on the straights, slower through the curves, or is it best to adopt the opposite approach?

You also have the debate re power versus weight, so there are 4 parameters to play around with, each of which has a negative effect on some parts of the track, and a positive effect on others.

I tried something similar. :)
Grabbed a Pescy and hardly touched it.

All I did was buy the car and put oil in it.
Racing Soft tyres and Low Range turbo.
Power down to 99.4%
8kgs ballast at -46 (makes 50:50)
Transmission top speed moved up 2 notches to 400kmh.
That's it.

Ran a 3:11.xx on my second lap. (wheel - ABS/1 - TC/0)
(I was already well up to speed after heaps of practice in a Pug. Evo. though, which made life easier.) :D
Not a bad car to drive on stock settings.

Use high rpm turbo kit for top speed, balance it with max downforce and max brake force. Oh, the LSD is important, get the accel value high enough to make the most of the traction on exits. Those are what I gathered from back in GT5 days of Cop/Cruise at La Sarthe :P Might be worthwhile to try.

Think i need to look for a 2J tune somewhere,i can't even get silver on this with my best 700 PP cars.
The most frustrating thing is that you are not allowed to use the curbs.

Max speed to 360kph.
1: 1.240
2: 0.875
3: 0.645
Final Gear 4.100
Then set the top speed at 390 kph.

high speed turbo, 100% power. ballast +50% Do a oil change and body rigid before. You got 1055 hp with this tune.

With better gears I can make a 3:06 lap. Im sure for that. But you must find a compromis at this track. You can get 400 kph but in the corners you loose too much, With this tune you go 390 kph. I still playing with the gears and if i found a better setup i post it here, Good luck!

I know the 2J is a nervous car here but with training it's pretty fun.
Never tought Im Saying this: But I gonna like this TT :rolleyes:

Here is the original tune. Kossie^ just took mine and changed and did some minor, unapproved suspension and LSD changes!!

I using youre tune with my own changes(edit: I see now that you just say that haha, I tought you say to me that i must look at that tune) :) Youre gears are not good for this TT , To slow top speed, I'm faster with 5-5-5 LSD settings. Thanks anyway, This was a good basic tune for me.👍👍

Now you can see how amazing this site is, I learn from everybody here, Great tune:gtpflag:

I read somewhere it was Mazda's 25th Anniversary of winning the Le Mans 24hr in their 787B… so I ran one, the Stealth Model on RS tires and a big turbo, good for 696 PP. Trans final gear to 3.420, the rest is stock.

Took a few laps but got gold. Always have liked the 787 cars.

I fooled with the Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd '05 for awhile and ended up with a very stable car that takes corners very well. Managed to get 3:14:684, but I could do better if I weren't so tense while driving. Here's the tuning setup.
