7th GTP F1 World Championship (F1 2010 edition) * SEASON FINISHED :'''( *F1 2010-2016

Lol just realised how strict the rules are. And with me using a controller (forgot how much of a nightmare it was with no traction control), I'm going to have to get back into this game the hard way.

Would you be up for a practice tomorrow night? This invite extends to everyone involved in the championship. Hopefully Mutu20 and I will be online (provided the PSN network is back up and running by then, but there's no gaurantee of this at all)

Thank You very much and ill be on standbie when needed.
👍

Nice one, thanks 👍

It's really annoying and I haven't played the game in about 3 weeks :S The thing that gets me is that it was just one person that's done it!, but seriously how much free time do they have on their hands?

Hey guys, just wondering what your fastest lap times around Catalunya are? I've just set a 1:20.746 and because I cannot see your times I cannot compare, so how much faster are you than me?

Seriously Tom, aren't you watching the Royal Wedding?! Nah, neither am I.....

Secondly, there's virtually no point in using time trial mode to practice for these races. The cars handle completely differently to how they do with fuel and tyre wear switched on.

Yeah time trial is only useful for learning a track really.

I'm kind of hoping the PSN network won't be up for Sunday - I've ****ed my elbow doing jujitsu. Using a wheel for an hour will be extremely painful I would imagine.

Ouch really? Who knows it might do, but any time i've hurt myself or pulled a muscle or trapped a nerve or whatever i've always expected it to make racing with the wheel or driving impossible, but it usually never is - i'm always fine.

It looks like there isn't any real prospect of the PSN being up and running by Sunday anyway so you've got a reprieve methinks. Sony have said they hope to have it running by a week from 27th April, someone said on the PSN thread that it could be up by 3rd May. In which case I pass on the baton to you James for the Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix.

Slightly annoyed to be missing Catalunya as it's one of my favourite tracks. It means I'll be back for the Turkish GP though which I love as well.

imo, it's not a bad indication of where you're at compared to others, who might have a little extra pace, who might not or how much work I have to do :embarrassed:. It's also, as mutu said, good for learning the track.

enjoy the hols Shaggy.

Well I use it to find the limit as it's virtually the same in qualifying but does anyone have a laptime that they can share with me so that I can compare and try to make up time? 👍

Off the top of my head, I believe I had a low 1' 21", I can check when I get home.

Nothing to shoot for there,

Damn, i'm screwed  I was driving the s*** out of the car.....i'll work on my braking points, I know that I could definitely brake later in some corners

Trust me Tom, it's no where near the same as in qualifying. Off the top of my head I did a 1:17.1 in time trial, but the fastest i've managed in qualifying has been a low 1:21. In conclusion, TT mode is a full 4 seconds faster than even qualifying trim with fuel and tyre sim on.

Thanks for the holiday best wishes, looking forward to it :)

Hi gentlemen! If we are going May 1st, this report that I will be absent. Tomorrow, get going with my family on a trip to the Bieszczady mountains and come back on Wednesday. But I read that part of the PSN service will run until May 4 ... We'll see

Do you need me to step in as reserve then?

Yes i agree with shaggy time trials are totally different from the race.i ve also done a 1:17.1 in time trials but race time is all about consistency.

Well I hope that everyone is remembering that 17 years ago today The Great Ayrton Senna sadly died, what a tragic weekend
