A blue flag means "Faster car approaching, a pass may be imminent, use mirrors".

no it doesn't

This flag should normally be shown to a car about to be lapped and, when shown, the driver concerned must allow the following car to pass at the earliest opportunity.

thats what it says in the rule book.

the ferrari ****did not**** have the racing line, it was on the outside, he hit the back of of the car that went past him.

go buy the blue book and maybe watch a few races the ferrari clearly had the racing line if you think the toybota did then watch more leman races because it didn't.

Sigh.

It's the etiquette of the PROFESSIONAL driver to be the smarter one. Again, it's silly, I know, but that is racing at Le Mans.

Dumb move by Davidson, dumb move by the Ferrari.

Admittedly, I agree with you there. But that doesn't really matter when the casualties and recovery is the most important thing in a crash like that.

What rulebook?

Not every rulebook is the same.

Quoted for truth.

Let's just hope Davidson is ok.

Btw, Seeing all that Forza Motorsport signs, where is the rewind option? :P

That incident is pretty similar to Rockenfeller's last year. The Ferrari didn't need to apex on that corner like it did.

Just saw Davidson's massive crash!
Horrible !
I hope both drivers are okay.
Can't tell if it's entirely the Ferrari's fault, I think Davidson was a bit presomptuous on the pass...

My god.. Reminds me of the Mercedes CLR from '98 when the Toyota took off, that was scary..

To American viewers, We'll be able to go back to watching coverage on SPEED in just a few minutes.

No. McNish last year 100% to blame. Rocky? 50/50. This BS? 100% Ferrari.

Not quite. McNish 100% at fault, Rocky 100% at fault (the Ferrari ran exactly the same line as every other lap) This one 100% ferrari driver fault.

The trouble is amateur drivers. They are necessary because rich amateurs finance GT racing. Without them there wouldn't be very many GT cars at all.

Another issue is that whilst the Pro-Am car has a colour strip on the windscreen identifying it as a Pro-Am, there is no identifier at the back so a Prototype cannot tell if it is a pro driver or an amateur driver.

Yeah, that's what I thought of too. I stopped breathing when I saw it begin to flip. Lets hope Davidson's okay.

But it's really scary. The ACO did all this stuff to stop the cars from flipping with the dorsal fin, the cavities above the wheels and the underbody changes. And still we got this...

There's room for improvement but I'm not savvy at photo editing.

I'd give a 50/50 on the Rocky thing, cause the Ferrari "could" have made room. This however... The Toyota was side by side on the straight already, in broad day light. Seriously...

Good news, Davidson not going to the hospital!
