No it wasn't

Ferrari was taking the racing line its up to the driver of the car behind to make sure they can get passed cleanly even if they are being lapped, toybota wasn't flashing his lights.

At least now davidson knows what happens when the car behind tries to pass him and "doesn't" see them ;)

Davidson was slightly ahead (his rear quarter was hit) and had the inside line, 1000000% ferraris fault.

What are blue flags for then? GTs have to move out of the way everytime. And this man not only didn't moved out of the way but got in the Toyota's way.

Wrong Wrong Wrong

blue flags are to tell you faster car approaching not to get out of the way,its up to the faster car behind to find a way passed.

Ferrari's emblem is a horse... And a horse only knows about going forward without looking side to side. The same thing applies to the Ferrari drivers. This lessens Toyota's chances for glory...

Someone agreeing with you does not make you right.

Passing on the inside of a corner is correct behavior regardless of what you think.

True, my friend, and being hit in the rear wheel just shows the Ferrari driver either as no mirrors or was day dreaming. It's not even night, like last year, for Gods sake...

Truth. Blue flags only mean let the other guy pass in F1 and DTM.

Okay, now I see it was a Toyota that had been hit, going off of what you guys are saying. Was it the leading TS030? I'm not listening to any commentators so I don't know.

Also looks like the front is finally on the Audi and they're pulling it out now. 👍

Dennisch
And that is why the Toyota should be the more wise one. Amateurs on the track.

Read above.

Rubbish. :town:

There has been overtaking at the Mulsanne chicanes throughout the whole race.

What will irritate toyota the most was that davidson was already ahead at that point, all the flags and flashing lights in the world wont help when you get hit like that.

Read up on what speed difference is then post again ;)

So the driver in the faster car, who was already ahead and had the racing line was at fault? hmmm, welcome to planet crazy.

Scrap GTE-Am and bring in GT3 cars with better drivers.

Davidson on a stretcher...

I meant my own comment above your quote. The LMP's need to keep in mind that there are amateurs on the track. Silly, I know, and in my mind amateurs should be banned from Le Mans, to stop this kind of accidents.

Anyone knows what the after play was for the team and driver of the Ferrari-Serious-Incident-v2011?

To a point though and this is that point. The slower car also has a responsibility.

I stand corrected then, I thought they worked in the way Tired Tyres just pointed out :dunce:.

Audi #3 out from the garage, looking like a new car.

Those are the rules and davidson could have waited until the long straight just after that corner to pass.

I'm not saying the ferrari isn't to blame but these things happen year after year its part of sportscar racing!

I see #3 is back out good work by the Audi team.

I think the #8 was involved, not sure about which Ferrari.

EDIT: Live news feed says the #81 Ferrari.
