Le Mans Hour Sixteen:

The #90 Ferrari, running fourth in GTE AM, limped in with a puncture. Fortunately, the car did not have any further damage due to smart driving from Paulo Ruberti. The Ferrari GTE luck continued to deteriorate, with the #57 Krohn Racing car of Ben Collins being pulled into the garage. Fortunately, the car was only in for a brake disc change, with Niclas Jonsson hopping into the bright green Ferrari too.

Stefan Mucke was now in the second placed Aston Martin, while the leading Ferrari had been handed over to Toni Vilander. Mucke was lapping extremely quickly in an attempt to re-take the lead in GTE PRO.

The battle for fifth in GTE AM was hotting up, with Joe Foster of Dempsey Racing being caught by Niclas Jonsson. The Krohn Ferrari was edging ever closer, and made the move on the approach to the Porsche Curves. Nelson Panciatici looked to be pushing hard in the Alpine, and with good reason; the #46 Ligier of Ludovic Badey was only a half dozen seconds or so further back.

The #2 Audi of Marcel Fassler got reversed into the garage during a pitstop. However, it looked as though the car was only going through a full service, and that there were no real issues… But, the car did not start upon being put out into the pits. It went back into the garage, with an apparent Turbo issue. As the hour came to a close, the #2 was still in the pits but leading, as the SMP Racing Ferrari, that lost a lot of time earlier on, had a big crash at the Porsche Curves, meaning a slow zone was about to be put into action there.

So the Audi of Fassler currently leads but is still stationery. Alex Brundle still leads in LMP2, while the GTE PRO lead belongs to the AF Corse #51 Ferrari of Toni Vilander. Kristian Poulsen leads the GTE AM class in the #95 Aston.

Yeah that #20 has had a breaking hybrid system for a long time now, they've been 5 seconds off the pace of the Audi's most of the time since that.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO one of my streams just died! :( Oh well, got other two.

Damn it, one of them is showing a rugby match.

Aaand...there we go 👍. I don't think this means a chance of victory for #20, it's been having issues of it's own for a long time and has actually reported problems due to "over-regenerating".

Well Webber is driving it, and MGUs seem to be his number one enemy :sly:

I'd say this would be a major podium for Porsche even if they can't win.
At least Porsche has more of a chance, not being 3 laps down and all.

They need to keep pulling longer runs than the Audi and probably do an over stint or two to secure victory. They need to play the offensive and make Audi worry.

Porsche is still going to need some help if they are to have a shot because they've been nursing a broken hybrid system and are 5 seconds off Audi's pace straight up. I'll still be surprised if it even makes it to the end, but they're going to need help.

I can't believe that all 7 of the factory cars have had trouble. This seems to be the race nobody wants to win.

Fixed for you.

There was a glimpse of a safety car on the track at Sector one before the camera went on-board with the #1 Audi... EuroSport called it as an intervention car or something.

EDIT: And that car has arrived at the SMP Ferrari that crashed.

It would be MASSIVE. A podium on the first Le Mans outing of your program? That's a recipe for domination next year.
Welllll I don't think I'd go that far because they've been nursing a broken car the whole way and are pretty much in position due to misfortune from Audi and Toyota.
