Welllll I don't think I'd go that far because they've been nursing a broken car the whole way and are pretty much in position due to misfortune from Audi and Toyota.

Yes but that doesn't matter, being fastest overall for a single lap should be left to F1 banter, this is endurance racing and thus no one cares if your fastest over a lap or two. If the Porsche lasts where it sits it does so because it was a better machine overall.

This safety car will help the Vette somewhat gain a bit of ground on the third place podium.

That's what I'm saying though, that Porsche has been dealing with a broken hybrid system for so long I'm not willing to call it a better machine. That and the extreme vibrations we've seen from onboard, just doesn't feel right to me.

The media staff must be hungry at this point.

Eat. Eat.. Eat... Repeat.

Well, it seems like the SC car period will last for a considerable time given that the barrier received a nasty punch. Time for me to put the sleep in #eatsleepRACErepeat.

And no, #2 isn't in trouble again .

Yeah but (knock on wood) it's issue has been dealt with in a better way than the #7 and their drivers have their heads on unlike the #8 earlier in the race. Their turbos have stayed well unlike the #2, which tells me their issues have been managed better and outlasted without coming home to repair or retire like those mentioned.

The thing to remember about Audi is that if it took them 23 minutes to change a turbo it would have taken any of the other teams 45. It's insane how prepared Audi is. Ya know what their lesson learned this year will be though? Next time the car gets a redesign the transmission/gearbox will be better protected. Even though it was in no way their fault, they are gonna learn from that Bonanomi incident.

You do know it's Lapierre not La Pierre don't you?
Phhhh, nit-picking typos.

Yeah it will be interesting with that 20, if they are having brake problems are they going to be trying to change the brakes an extra time or will it be irrelevant? Braking problems always scare me the most, especially here, because when they are failing brakes are typically an inevitable thing.

Could this be the year my method of picking winner's comes true? It's all about the 3-A's. Audi, Alpine, and Aston. Covers ya in all 4 classes. :sly:

I'm back and find the car I'm rooting for in the lead. Shame for Toyota but this is Motorsport. No win is ever guaranteed especially with Audi in the race.

Going to the end.

So I guess the idea of racing Ferrari's in Endurance racing is forget about the driver being great as long as the numbers are plenty they'll win...

Saves money on the actual good drivers, though that doesn't explain Sam Bird.

"Ferrari crashed xDDDDD
Lolololololol"

Seriously, that's how this thread sounds way to often....

Then perhaps Ferrari should do a back ground check on the team drivers before they sell their race cars...problem solved.

As for the 74 Vette, the issue is once again the alternator belt and a supposed leak causing it to slip off. So yeah...slight issues cause big problems.
