I think La Pierre has his own fault not only a matter of bad luck. Now I just hope Toyota manage to win WEC that would be something.

It's hard to tell. Bad conditions, lots of cars, including 4 being directly involved in the crash, and perhaps not the best decision to drive so fast. In any case, I think it's hard to really put a finger on whose fault it was.

List of retirements:

#0 Nissan ZEOD RC (GARAGE 56)
#3 Audi R18 e-tron quattro (LMP1-H)
#7 Toyota TS040 HYBRID (LMP1-H)
#13 Rebellion-Toyota R-One (LMP1-L)
#26 G-Drive (OAK) Morgan LMP2 (LMP2)
#37 ORECA 03R (LMP2)
#41 Zytek-Nissan Z11SN (LMP2)
#47 KCMG ORECA 03R (LMP2)
#48 Murphy Prototypes ORECA O3R (LMP2)
#52 Ram Racing Ferrari (GTE PRO)
#60 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia (GTE AM)
#71 Ferrari 458 Italia (GTE PRO)
#72 SMP Racing Ferrari 458 Italia (GTE AM)
#75 ProSpeed Porsche 911 GT3-RSR (GTE AM)
#91 Ferrari 458 Italia (GTE AM)

I think it was bad luck in that it was just a big mess brought about by a sudden downpour.

But if you are leading quite comfortably and suddenly your car catch fire on elettrican system it's 1000% Toyota's fault. That's the problem.

Back again :D

Sad to see that the #7 caught fire, but... As they say: You've got to finish first to finish first. I wouldn't mind Audi winning, been a bit of an Audi fan for years, but I'd still prefer #20 taking top honors. A tenth win for TK would be way impressive, however.

The #74 being down to third in class isn't exactly cool, though :indiff:

Le Mans Hour Twenty:

The #20 Porsche, now being driven by Timo Bernhard, was still holding station in second. However, Andre Lotterer proceeded to take the fastest lap, and put himself on the same lap as the #20, on lap 301; the previous fastest lap for the race was set on lap four by Kazuki Nakajima in the now retired #7 Toyota.

The #35 OAK Ligier was now a lap down on the leading Thiriet car, and may need some strong stints from the three young drivers in order to have a chance at the LMP2 win now.

The #12 Rebellion, now being driven by Nick Heidfeld, was currently back up to sixth in LMP1 and sixth overall. Even though the race has not been perfect for the team with this new R-One, I feel that the car has potential, and combined with the proven Rebellion team, we could see a competitive package by the time we reach the end of the WEC season. Saying that, the #12 appears in the pits, with the engine cover up. However, all turned out to be fine, and the car got going soon enough.

Tristan Gommendy was putting in a good stint at the front of the LMP2 field for TDS Racing, but then the front-left of the car began to smoke. A puncture was the original thought, but it seems as though it’s actually a suspension failure that’s causing the TDS team to push the #46 into the garage. In theory, this should now hand the LMP2 lead to Shulzhitskiy as the hour draws to a close.

So, the #1 Audi of Tom Kristensen leads in LMP1, while the Ligier of Gommendy still technically leads in LMP2. GTE PRO is still controlled by the #51 Ferrari of Toni Vilander. GTE AM is still led by Nicki Thiim.

*KRISTENSEN STOPPING HAPPENS IN HOUR TWENTY-ONE, HENCE IT IS NOT MENTIONED*

It's always the same. My favourite car is leading, I go to bed and when I wake up that car broke down. 8(
I really hope Porsche can succeed, I finally want to see someone else win.
