God damn it i was having fun watching it without the commentators talking about rubbish. Looks like Audi will win.

WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL MAKING PREDICTIONS FOR THIS RACE?! HAVE YOU LEARNT NOTHING FROM THE PAST...(checks watch)...21 AND A BIT HOURS?! :P

Le Mans Hour Twenty-One:

Just when the LMP1 battle felt a little calmer, we find Tom Kristensen ground to a halt in the #1 leading Audi. However, it seemed as if he had a control-alt-delete sequence at the chicane, and the car got going again as if all was normal once more. However, as he exited from a pitstop a couple of laps later, he was passed by an LMP2 and a GTE car on the run down to Terte Rouge. The Audi gap hesitated, but suddenly the full force of the diesel-electric motor came back again.

But, the #1 car was not okay. It came back into the pits, and was promptly pulled back into the garage for frantic repairs with three hours and fourty-two minutes left on the clock. With all this trouble, the #20 Porsche of Timo Bernhard was now back on the lead lap, and, as it came in for the routine stop, so was the #2 Audi of Lotterer.
Reports from the pits indicate that a Turbo was having to be replaced in the Audi, much like it was in the #2 earlier in the morning. The #20 of Bernhard was now in the lead, and the #1 was still losing laps and minutes in the pits.

Back in LMP2, the Greaves/Caterham was travelling towards Indianapolis extremely slowly in the hands of Chris Dyson. However, it made it back to the pits. Hopefully, the team would find a way to continue until the end of the race. Alex Brundle is now in the leading OAK-Ligier, with many brilliant drivers chasing him in the LMP2 field.

Lucas Di Grassi was now in the #1, which was back out on track and four laps back from the leading Porsche. Also, with the Toyota #8 just seven laps down that car may not actually be out of the podium hunt.

The Aston Martin of Darren Turner went off at the Mulsanne Corner, but maintained fourth with a lap’s gap back to the #74 ‘Vette.

As the factory GTE Porsche went off and kicked up gravel, the hour came to a close. The Audi was a matter of seconds away, but the Porsche still leads… Mission 2014: Mission Accomplished? Could it happen?

With three hours left, #20 leads in LMP1, with Brundle still out front in LMP2. GTE PRO is still firmly under the control of Tony Vilander in the #51 Ferrari, and the same applies to GTE AM, with Nicki Thiim far ahead in the class.

#2 exactly a minute behind.

If Webber is finishing then Audi are guaranteed a win with Webber normally struggling to break 3:30's barring mechanical issues.

You what would be hilarious? The Audi being like 3 seconds away from the Porsche and all of a sudden a wild Ferrari 458 appears and it (the #2 Audi) has to retire.

Or an Audi being 3 secs behind the Porsche with 10 or something mins to go and then BANG! a Ferrari crashed and the SC is out!

Keep in mind guys that Porsches' LMP1 car has been in development for nearly 4 years if I have my facts correct. That means even though this is their first time, the car has actually be 'under development' for about the same amount of time the Toyota's have been running this race too.

hsv
I think it's Mark.

Yeah, its actually Brandons turn now but Mark -aslong as he is fully capable of doing a last stint- seems to be a good choice.

btw this is the reason why we need atleast 3 manufacturers. Last year this race would have been over now after the Toyota issues.

And look who's still in the race and who's retired. :P

Absolutely. Remember the years when it was basically the Audi show? I never quite bought the hype when Peugeot joined as it was still only 2 so if one failed the other would canter home. 3 adds enough interest.
