Didn't realize the race started 9 here (east coast). Was thinking 8 and got up really early, lost a lot of sleep, but will try to tough it out with you guys during the race!

In the spirit of cracking on with the race I'm going to leave all the nissan stuff of last night and head on with the race.

Was hoping to get a good nap in this morning but it didn't happen, on the other hand snacks are brought and ready also as an added bonus the weather is miserable here so I wont feel bad about staying in all day to enjoy the race.

Treated myself to the lego 42039 set as something to do during the race even though it is an awful shade of green.

Night time munchies bought. Big ol' pack of crisps, two lucozades, couple cans as extra. This is for me the no #1 race of the year. Under an hour to start as well!

Nearly time for the race. Just under an hour to go. I'm going to see if I can tough it out for a majority of the 24 hours. Got the Coke, got the food. This is gonna be good! Go Audi!

EDIT- Foxtel users, Road to Le Mans is on Fox Sports 2 right now. Eurosport AU will begin their coverage in 5mins, so 10:15PM AEST.

1 hour to go! :D

I miss food. :( Especially crisps. :(

Now that deserves a round of applause, for both an incredible job and attitude from the Corvette team. 👍

And another reason, despite the long running Corvette-AMR rivalry, and my affiliation with the brits :P , I respect Corvette above any other team. They know how to build a car, keep it reliable, fix issues, and usually be fighting for the win. Corvette in GTE for mechanical ability I compare to Audi in LMP1. Wouldn't be surprised if the #63 crew pretty much switch between Larbre and Corvette as the race go on, especially if Larbre have a chance at class honours.

So they say they can't reveal the driver lineup for the Ford GT program but after looking at the trailer, I can pretty much already name you guys one of them right off:

Look at these screens from the trailer:

Now look at this:

Kinda obvious really.

He's a shoe-in anyway. The moment I heard Ford would be coming back with the new GT my first thought went straight to Pruett. He is the most natural and obvious choice. Knows Ford very well and is one of the best American sportscar racers. His team-mate is also obvious and somewhat natural. I think it should be Joey Hand.

Bad weather is expected. Loads of rain and chances of thunderstorms. Tomorrow temperature around 17 degrees....brrrr

We'll see how it works out, not the first time forecast is off ;)

Now you see why I said that I am "a GM man" (as I put it in my "favorites" for this race); everything you said represents what 'Vette Racing really is, a dedicated team of individuals who work hard and drive even harder, with a strong and reliable car. And if the #63 crew can help Labre, that'll be another reason to cheer for them.

Rooting for the remaining two Corvettes. Let's have a clean fight shall we? :)

We need the C7.R in PCARS just because of this. :P :D

Watching the race in TV, in Eurosport of course. Right now, seeing the legend himself, Mr. Tom, driving a lap around the Le Mans circuit in a R8 GT3... Man, I wish I was in that car.
