For me:

LMP1: I just want a good race, Nissan I do want to do well though because of the ambition of the project.
LMP2: Murphy, Greaves, and Strakka get my votes.
GTE: AMR all the way, be nice to see that Viper push on in AM though.

So glad the Corvette guys are using the numbers 63 and 64 again. :D

Yes haha.

I am a corvette fan since i was born, then i am also danish and a Jan Magnussen fan.
also, i've got this funny number paranoia, where one particular number follows me everywhere.
It's the number 63...

Funny isn't it? But i love it! :D

Any idea how?

EDIT: They just said he's starting with a 1 lap handicap (if its Stuart Hall)

my predictions
LMP1: they started horribly, let's say it. but i think they will still give some surprise
P2: Strakka
GTE: as long i'd like to see a viper win, i'm routing for AF corse too with Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander . Overall i'm expecting to see a good race.

2 medical cars and an extraction car just went passed this can't be good.

RLM saying car is already on a flat bed and it's just armco being repaired, and doesn't seem too bad. Rest easy.

EDIT RLM Now saying they can what appears to be a driver watching trackside nearby.

Probably a precaution. It would be better to have them on-scene and find that you don't need them than it would be to make the assumption that you don't need them and find that you do. Because when you need them, you tend to need them right away.

Is the Aston Martin race been shown anywhere? I would love to see the Lola in full attack mode trying to make up the 1.75 lap handicap.

Well, my predictions are;
LMP1- #7 Audi
LMP2- #41 Greaves Motorsport
GTE Pro- #64 Corvette or #99 Aston Martin
GTE Am- #98 Aston Martin

so 2 hours left foe the race to start,im looking forward to a competitive race and fast toyota's to make it more interest

I guess I'll join in with the predictions

P1: Audi #7
P2: G-Drive Ligier #26
GTPRO: AF Corsa #51
GTAM: AMR #98

Hello everyone,

As some may recall, I write hourly updates on the race every year over on my motorsport Facebook page.

This year, I will be writing during the race once again, but I will not be using the same format. Rather than hourly updates, I will be documenting the action as it happens over at www.downforce-radio.co.uk!

Hopefully I can detail the late night happenings for those of you without a minor case of insomnia! ;)

My predictions:
LMP1: #7 Audi
LMP2: #26 G-Drive Ligier
GTE PRO: #97 Aston
GTE AM: Larbre Corvette

Anyone running laps at La Sarthe to pass the next two hours?

My predictions:
LMP1: #18 Porsche 919 if they manage to stay reliable, otherwise, #7 Audi
LMP2: It's so tight that half the field could win it but I'm going for the ESM cars because of the livery
GTE PRO: #51 AF Corsa Ferrari
GTE AM: #98 AMR Vantage V8

Porsche is really fast and has proven to be reliable, let's see what they can pull off in a 24h race.
Audi is going to be for sure on at least one spot on the podium.
Yup i set up the wheel and it's since this morning that i'm lapping various tracks with the new nissan, can't wait for the livestreaming.

I don't believe they have proved any sort of reliability at all. They had problems in at least one of their cars in both the 6 hour races so far this year. We know they have the fastest car around this circuit but we also know that the 919's are very harsh on their tires. The Audi's car quadruple stint tires with no issue but they last only 13 laps on fuel while the other cars can do 14 if I am not mistaken. In reality, the car that is going to win is the one that has the most perfect race.

Anyone know when the WEC coverage starts before the race? I guess an hour before?
I think it was 45 minutes before the start, I'm not sure, though.

Anyway, I'm still hoping for Porsche win in LMP1, and number 51 in GTE-Pro based on drivers alone, for the cars Aston Martin and Corvette are also high on my rooting list in GTs.

As far as GTE pro should go: Ferrari have the most reliable car because it's the oldest and they know the car well. That does not mean that it is the fastest car even if they have the best driver lineup. The way the BOP is set up favors Aston Martin for this race. Porsche and Corvette do not have the talent this year to compete with Aston and Ferrari I feel.

If anyone fancies some warmup for the race - me and my friend digging out the ORIGINAL Le Mans 24 Hours game for PS1 and doing our own 2.4 Hour race...with a Pro-Am driver lineup...and failed alien abductions...and a rather cross Tiff Needell!

As for who I'm pulling for:

LMP1: Nissan all the way. Love those guys, the people behind the project, and the ambition. And the car looks wonderful!
LMP2: Undecided tbh. I shall enjoy as the battles unfold!
GTE-Pro: Corvette. As always.
GTE-Am: Viper Exchange, what a strange story but a plucky underdog one!
