Stream picking a bad time to start messing up. Good ol' refresh seems to have done the trick and I can't enjoy this battle for first again.

The other day I began what is hopefully long term casual work with a guy who valets cars - so I will be around cars most time which is great for me as a car fan. At the end of what was my very first day I had doubts about whether I would learn all the products. There is so many. I really was just moments away from packing it in. Giving up my desired job of a valeter because I didn't think I could learn all the products and how they are to be applied.. Something I have always wanted to do.

Comments please?

I'm fairly sure that this is going to be more of an "angry race" for the P1s more than anything. They might as well be treating their P1s like Touring Cars! :P

What part of "they are a brand new manufacturer" can't you comprehend? Give them a chance man! How can you conveniently overlook the vast development difference between something like the Porsche 919 or the Audi R18 - the fact they are years behind the other LMP1 cars - so easily? You ask way too much of them way too early.

No racing experience. Little testing. Little development. Am I concerned that they started with all but one LMP2 cars in-front of them? Not one bit. Because I have something called patience. I realize nothing can be achieved with the time they have had with the car. Rome was not built in a day.

Judge them on their performance in 2-3 years time. Then you can mock them to your hearts content. If they still are performing this badly then you can.

On Toyota's first year back at Le Mans, they were right there in front, fighting with Audi.
Porsche weren't as fast as Toyota on their first go, but certainly nowhere near as slow as Nissan currently is.

So yeah. I'm not seeing your point. Nissan is performing abysmal. For me, they are becoming a running joke on Le Mans. First it was the Deltawing. Then the ZEOD. And now this. All cars that didn't fit in anywhere in the actual race.

Showing up at Le Mans as their first race is idiotic.

Live timing offline , is audi leading the race? What about Orecas and GTE?

Now that Quest's coverage of the race start has finished it's back to RLM and live timing for me. :(

She Sells Sanctuary is cheering me up though.

How was the DeltaWing a joke? The car performed better than anyone expected until Nakajima pushed it off the road. If Don Panoz wouldn't be such a stubborn old guy, the whole project could've been something else.

In the end every second counts!

That is true, but still, they have been going on like this ever since Bill Ford Jr. dropped that French flag. The pace of the factory P1s (more the VAG group cars than the Japanese duo) has been insanely fast, so much that you'd think they were still running the qualification!

Ferrari almost took out the #22 car.

Ah, we almost had the start of GTP's favourite drinking game; the "Ferrari causes accidents" drinking game...
