The Rebellion is only 2 laps off the podium now, I'm not sure the Toyota has the hybrid power to get back to the pits which would mean curtains for it.

Get the mechanics with a buggy and toolkit ready - Motoyama did same with DeltaWing and one of the Gibsons tried it last year at Dunlop.

I think until the car crosses the pit line the mechanics can't hand over any tools or touch the car, it's just what Kamui has with him in the car and whatever advice they can give.

Toyota's jinxed, the guys at RLM recalled 2014, when ironically the #7 again, retired in the night due to an electrical failure, from a commanding lead, they just can't get a break :(:guilty:

Well, the Car Stopped Trackside is a Toyota. Damn it, cruel for Kobayashi.

I know it generates a more interesting race because of the failures/issues...but I say ditch the silly hybrid crap and let them build standard race engines.

What have Toyota done to deserve this kind of rubbish luck?
There was a rumour when the team was in F1 of a private deal as a result of the 2004 industrial espionage case that if they didn't win they wouldn't be prosecuted. However this has never been substantiated to my knowledge. TTE was also banned from WRC in 1995 for 12 months due to cheating.

The #1 Porsche needs a problem that keeps them in the pits for 6 laps or 27 minutes. That will put the #8 Toyota back ahead so there's a Toyota 1-2
