I'm not a Ford fan at all but LOVE the '05-06 and current Ford GT. Only complaint on the new one is (in my opinion) sound, should have used the glorious sounding GT350 powerplant. I get why they used the turbo V6 though. I would have had no problems rooting for the GT second to the Vettes of course, until Ganassi and all the ********, and the whole zero production cars produced yet still raced last year. I defiantly root against them.

And yeah the car could look great with another livery.

You see, it'd seem I'm one of the few who wasn't a massive fan of the '05-'06 GT (but it wasn't too bad TBF), but I adore the new GT, a much better replacement for the original, without being too "retro" whilst retaining some cues to the original.

But also, I'm really glad they didn't go down the old V8 route and just bunk a big dirty V8 in it. Wouldn't work with the rest of the design of the current car, hence why it's refreshing to see a TT V6, which sounds so nice IMO, certainly get why it's been used too.

But I absolutely agree on the livery. There's nothing wrong with the choice of colours necessarily, just the execution of said colours could've been done with more grace and style.

Off topic, but why do you have Willy Wonka as your current one and in front of a mushroom cloud.

---
Also, Aston Martin has been doing quite well throughout the race so far.
24 hours is more than enough time to go off topic lol, especially at this stage. Gen Wilder has always been my favorite actor, especially his stuff with Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor and all that. His Willy Wonka is such a complex character, when I saw that picture of him and the mushroom cloud on right I just liked the tone it set and thought it would be a good profile pic. Kind of became my thing as long as I've been on here I guess. :gtpflag: Well, that and the story of my Miura. I'm the guy who bought the $20 mil Miura to break in at Zahara when they announced it would be in GT6. Then it didn't come out for a year and I still saved the car until they realised it. It became a bit if some folk story, I met a few people at different points on PSN who knew the story and I was like "yeah that was me," but now I'm off topic lol.

I can see it now, Toyota running 1-2-3 with 1 lap remaining... when a UFO appears and abducts all 3 cars handing the win to Porsche.
Or the Toyota is leading and it becomes the one time the Chip Ganassi scenario actually happens, right? He always tells his endurance drivers, "anything short of a meteor hitting the car is your fault." Well, if it's a Toyota...

Ah, I just assumed it was some new meme I didn't know about. That's why I asked.
Also what? You own that Miura prototype that's in GT6?! That is amazing!

There was a radio communication between driver and engineer, talking about oscillation. Engineers said they saw it in the data too, but just said keep looking after the old girl. Probably nothing too serious. The commentators where confused by what they meant by that too.

Well, you can get any of the cars with the sign in bonus and seasonals. Mines unique cus I saved it but once it sits in the garage for long enough that it cycles to the bottom and ya forget about it, that isn't too hard either. Lol

Oh, I thought you were referring to the real one. Oops.

Half the lmp1 field is out?? Are you kidding me. Where's the number 7
To recap my earlier post.
2017-06-17_21.38.33.jpg

Basically all 3 of them dropped in the span of 2 and a half hours, while the 7 especially was clearly the class of the race.

Half the lmp1 field is out?? Are you kidding me. Where's the number 7

#7 is out with Hybrid/electrical failure, retired from a comfortable 2min lead, and the #9 is out after a fuel cut lead to a collision with the #25, which had a big crash as a result, and a puncture for the #9.

In getting the puncture, Lapierre made a meal of getting it back, with the tyre falling apart, ripping bodywork off, and caused potential damage an oil line, leading a an oil fire and drive-train damage, before it stopped just before the pits :(.

In addition to that, it should be noted that the 7 car started experiencing it's powerless literally on top of the start finish line, a full lap from pit entry. The contact that cut the tire on the 9 also occured in the Dunlop curve, a full lap from the pits. The 8 was off track for something like an hour 45 with a problem that wasn't on data, if luck is your cup of tea. Buemi was extremely adamant something was wrong, but the lap times never fell off before it failed and like I said, data never showed it.
