I was just about to say I was surprised all 60 cars were still running after 4 hours. Shame it had to be the Kolles, everybody likes an underdog.

Contact with a 911 RSR. Driver got out on his own

Can they put Jenson Button in the more competitive team car? Isn't that something Formula 1 used to do in the early days?

I had the same idea.

Brundle won le mans in that fashion in 1990 for jaguar. Price cobb suffered from dehydration and brundles car was already out. He and john nielsen stinted superbly and finished a well earned first.

Big shame, could be game over with that amount of damage. Was rather wanting the Bykolles to do well this year after the problems of last year, but alas is hasn't been the case.

Yeah quite disappointing to end a race like that, but thats endurance racing sometimes, accidents can happen while overtaking slower class cars.

I have to say, being able to see Alonso eyes looking at his mirrors in the pit stop, watching his pit crew working, is pretty cool to see. I think in F1 they are only concentrating on the lights to tell them to go.

Although its a shame that BMW isn't the official safety car this year, those Porsches don't look that bad.

Love the light setup with the lightbar and additional led strobes in the front and rear bumber + side leds.

But in black... :indiff: art car as safety car would be much cooler :D

The Lemans broadcast Twitter hashtag is #hotbox24???
Does the term "hotbox" not mean the same thing in Europe as it does in the states?

As far as I’m concerned it means exactly the same thing! There’s a few piss takers in their team (Carlton Kirby etc) who probably decided on the #. It’s certainly memorable.

What are all those road cars there for at the beginning of the pit lane? Saw some Porsches in there, but it's the first time I've actually taken notice of them and want to know why they're there.

Porsche leading in both GTE classes and Toyota leading LMP1, as a Porsche enthusiast and a Toyota employee I'm very happy with that. Hopefully I didn't jinx it now

Safety vehicles?

Safety cars, medical cars, race controls ride... WEC/Le Mans support vehicles. Prepare to see them there for the next two Le Mans races aswell.

Sorry to throw questions at you, but what do you mean by 'next two'? What happens to them after that?
