As I have been missing Kenny's comp and tuning one car a week I thought I would pick something popular... big mistake

This car is a nightmare for me as it needs ultra precise shifting You guys are short shifting to 2nd right? I'm sure someone who can shift properly will do better with this tune so if nukes time isn't beaten I will send him this car 👍

Well I coundn't beat Karos time but I was finaly able to get the .865 time, and with slightly faster 0-60 and 0-100 times which makes me think a .864 time is possible now

Well I'm short shifting to 2nd then just before redline at the rest. I'm using this suspension:

45/45
3.0/3.0
1/1
1/1
1/1
3.5/0.0
-1.00/1.00

...but it only makes a minor difference to 0-100 when testing in auto. I think my starting final was 3.615 and a longer 2nd for the short shift. I also have an auto trans setup at 9.882 so that’s what makes me think a good shifter would do much better than me.

Best auto time I could get was a .876, as for hitting the .86s... I'm stumped on what you guys did, I know my tune is close to the rest of yours but I just can't get a super launch.

My front was too low and my front springs were way too high

Thats been my problem with this car all along, seriously?! It was the ride height keeping me from .8xxs, ok, in 5 hours when i wake up, im so at it with you guys. Im determined now, i will catch you!!

Thanks mate, had a big session tuning it this evening after i got home from the pub lol, when I got the 9.865 time with the 0-60 and 0-100 times i did, i knew the 9.864 was possible, experimented with a few different starting finals and gear placements and tryed all new suspension to see if there was anything left in that but in the end went back to the setup that got me the .865 time and figured out the trick to getting that last 0.001 was with 6th gear.

PM me if you want to know what I did.

Nope wasn't shifting into 6th earlier, it was to do with the 6th gears placement.

I'm Gona try to see if I can get it there my self first. If not I am definitely going to pm you. But I think I know what you did. Props on getting it there, it's coming out faster then we imagined.

Could hardly break .8, but im fairly happy with it for the moment, it got very frustraiting very fast due to its ever so peaky shift points.

I do wonder what this is, and if i'm already using it without knowing, as I feel I've maxed out what the suspension can give on this car, but gears can vary so much by being able to achive identical times with completely different settings then one small change can give a big difference.

And I know how you feel with launching this car it truely is a pain in the ass! but the more I'm using it the more often I can get that perfect launch but it still takes me a good few tries untill i get into the rythem with it.

I know is nowhere near you guys but after seeing you guys go back and forth with this one I decided to try it I broke it in ran a best of 9.939 I did tried with a raised height and it was slower so I kept it lowered I'll keep playing with it and see what I can do. I kind of like this car.

Use maccers tune in the OP as a guide.. Don't follow it exactly (can if you want idk haha) and that should give you an rx7 that shouldn't be beat at Indy.. Unless you see Karo or maccer regularly

Do you run the test is kilometers 400m? Or miles, 1/4 mile?
