Because it was first run 90 years ago, in 1923, but the race was not held in 1936 due to strikes, or from 1940-48 due to World War 2 and its aftermath.

Again, they're conmemorating the 90th anniversary of the race, as in, "This race was originally raced 90 years ago" and not the 90th race as in, "This is the 90th time this race is run".

We aare, and some of us that weren't even rooting for Aston are now because they continued racing and are shooting for victory. It's still just way tragic ):

They do look pretty strong, and the american entries don't seem to have enough steam to chase them. It seems Aston will at last win this.

Don't see how one can be happy that they won knowing their competition was harshly handicapped by the BOP, when just last year and year before basically the same car won (2011) and finished on the podium (2012). So...let's make this very clear the American entries aren't slow because of themselves.
