So are the Daytona prototypes going to go neck and neck with the LMP's in next year's 24 hour race? With the USCR?

They might be able to give GTE-AM a battle, they aren't close to either LMP class.

SPEED's commentators go, "and the best part is it doesn't hurt when you crash on Xbox," before having a laugh.

Extremely poor taste after what happened to Simonsen.

Speed clearly doesn't care, and/or Fox doesn't want to lose viewers by mentioning it constantly.

They came back from a commercial, did a short blurb about it over half an hour after the announcement, went straight back to commercial and haven't mentioned it since.

As far as we know now, DP's won't be running at Le Mans, and the USCR won't have much of a connection to the WEC.

I suppose the track will be rebuilt in the section where Simonsen crashed so bad.
This is shocking, I thought motorsport is safe these days... but no. Not completely. Race drivers still actually risk their lives.

That's what I'm kinda reading. What happened?

Minute 15 or so, Allan Simonsen driving GT-AM car #95 spun out at Tertre Rouge and crashed against the armco. The impact looked bad but not fatal, yet it turned out to be the latest. He was announced dead an hour or so ago.

Toyota has good fuel consumption, Audi has awesome pace. Track not fully wet nor fully dry. Audi on the lead.

To be fair I don't think they intended it to be negative..

Change of lead in GT Pro, Makowiecki now in the lead. Aston 1-2 and Manthey Porsche 3rd.

#53, the ductaped Viper, is in the gravel.

sorry if this had been asked before.
Anybody know what s the meaning of three circle lights beside LMP1 car numbers?

thanks
