Hi all,

Just joined the topic 3rd time in a row and watching the whole race about 6th time in a row ? anyway:

Terrible news, so many years without any deaths and now this :/
My condolences to driver's family.

Before the sad news I was not able to log in (wrong user name ...) but waned to say this:

The whole track should have tyres set in front of the barriers for safety reason but also for the sake of race results - they were changing the barrier again for over an hour...

I just got the news from the commentators the family of Mr Simonsen asked Aston Martin director to continue the race and get the best result possible as a tribute, do your best AM.

I'm not trying to be annoying or anything, but why in the hell do they wear plants around their neck when they win?

Not taking you as annoying, but it's motorsport 101 honestly. They are Laurels and it's a throwback to ancient greece where winning athletes were crowned with laurels. It's not a reward exclusive to motorsport as well.

#1 going into the pits.

It might be out of respect for Alan, showing his name with "out" below it for 20 more hours might not be the best thing to do. I'm talking about the "ticker".

He's shown as "Retired" on the Live Timing page.
