Ya but the point is that it's not suppose to let out any black smoke as per the regulations. In the daytime there's none but there it is in the dark....

In all fairness, it's nearly impossible to get absolutely no smoke from a diesel engine. The filter is there to limit the smoke emissions, not completely overrule them.

Ah ok I must be imagining these then:

It disturbs me greatly that I see these and I have not consumed Alcohol.

That's a fair point but what I'm wondering is why it's very noticeable in the dark. It's as if the Audi's are using the cover of the darkness for some regulation trickery? Either way, I'm still rooting for the Audi's haha.

That's an improvement. They used to throw out black smoke in the day.

I would very much like Audi to answer those accusations as they're quite serious. Basically, Toyota is calling their victory a fake one. Wether the accusations are true or not is beyond us mere race fans as we can only get so much information, and most likely biased information. If Audi wants its victory to be free of any shadow of doubt, they should clarify all this.

I support the Audi team that manages to re-build a car in 20 minutes and quintuple stint a set of tires to beat Peugeot by 13 seconds, the same Audi that made Peugeot blow all their 908s out of sheer pressure. I will not support the Audi that shamelessly exploits the rules, not finding loopholes but simply frontally breaking the rules.

Just saw the driver combination of "Dolan/Luhr". Just let that sink in alittle...

Well, the lights around the circuit and on the other cars are much brighter than the actual sunlight and focus on a much smaller area, which I guess makes it more obvious.

Either way, it's very reminescent of what Toyota was doing in WRC back in the day with their "soft" turbo restrictor that would gain a few more mm's as it got hotter, and would shrink back down to size once it got cold... Pot calling kettle black.

RT @dscracelive Race control confirms the barrier repairs will take an estimated 30-40 minutes. #LM24 AudiR18_1 - reply - retweet // news // about 56 seconds ago

No distance record will be broken this year guys :/

Ironic, huh? The used-to-be cheaters are now the whistleblowers. And exactly the same TMG team . Sounds to me like a case of "Since I can't do it and you can, then it's illegal".

Regarding the black smoke coming from the Audi's. They've had it every year since they introduced the Diesels, if I remember correctly. You would almost always see it when they drove under the Dunlop Bridge and down into the Esses. They've mentioned it every year and nothing happens about it, unless it's not enough of an emission to be classed as a rule breaker.

You would see it on the Peugeot's as well, back when they ran the race. Yet to see it on the Toyota though.
