Well as some of you know may know over the last few years myself and my pops have always tried to make silly cockpits to play GT3, GT4 and GT5p and they have been mediocre. My old man got the DFP some years ago and we have used it with sparing stints, purely because of the time it takes to set up our contraptions. I mean, the latest set up consisted of two really old aluminum beach chairs screwed together to make a frame with bits of wood to support the wheel and pedals. with an old seat from the local scrapyard from a Ford Fiesta.
Anyway my aunties boyfriend is also into his cars and games so naturally he wanted a wheel and set up, now my aunt and her BF have a bit more cash than us so one evening he came around to ours and while surfing the net for set ups he did an impulse buy of one of these... A GameRacer Elite with Logitech G25 Steering Wheel.
Well he used it for a few weeks but his time is short at the best of times, and also they didnt have much room to store it, so today I came home from work to find my pops smiling at me, and for good reason. He had just taken a call from my uncle stating that we could have his set up for nothing.
Now we already had it at the house as they are just going on holiday so they lent us it for a week, but now its ours to keep.
Now that is what I call a great gift.
