Racing was stable from 4-6AM EST. Lobby refreshing and seeing who was in the rooms is very slow. There is still a black screen at the beginning of some races. You see a black screen and you can barely see everyone's name in the center of the screen scrolling to one side of the screen. One black screen left a friend in a permanent black screen tonight.
I've found, at least lately, the old myth of everyone staying in the pits and no one driving the track when the race starts does a fair bit to eliminate the black screens.
However, that's useless information if we can't connect!
Or, for that matter, stay connected! I was hosting a public lobby where 3 of us were running a 4-lap battle on Sarthe '05 with no chicanes (heavy damage, no aids/ABS, 535PP street cars, tuning prohibited, sports soft tires). After being mugged by a wall that just suddenly appeared in the middle of the race track
on the first lap I lost serious time to the leader in a '60 AM Vette. I was driving my Spyker C8 like the guy in the Corvette just stole my winning lottery ticket! By the final lap I'd cut his lead to under 10 seconds coming into the Mulsanne, with no chicanes and drafting the 2nd place '08 RS6 Avant my little V8-powered beer can was quickly vaporizing that convertible's lead at well over 200mph. Victory was within sight, he normally pulled on the straight but now I was coming in hot with 10-20mph extra and in those high-speed corners my Spyker would blow the doors off that resto-mod (shaved 8 seconds each lap through there, he stood no chance as he was already in my windshield and getting bigger rapidly!)

Third time in an hour, I was hosting and had just restarted my PS3 with a cache delete prior to opening that lobby. Completely ridiculous! Oh, and as I typed this I had opened another lobby, I looked up just now to see I had been disconnected within 15 minutes.
