A question about photo antiquing.

Would you say that this photo was antiqued properly?

to this:

Tools used:
  • Brightness/contrast
  • Hue/saturation
  • Photo filter (twice)
  • Noise-Dust & Scratches
  • Distort-Lens Correction
  • Noise-Despeckle
 
It's fairly convincing, except for the Jeep Grand Cherokee in the background. Plus, you'll need some more scratches, and maybe some more Desaturation.
 
That's a little better. Any chance you're willing to put an un-focused radius on the rear section? This is how I'd do it:

1. Take the Ellipse selector (dotted lines, top left) and make sure that hood of the Chevy is in the circle.
2. Invert your selection.
3. Do a Gaussian Blur of roughly 1.4 value.

This will give the effect of an older camera without the ability to focus on more than a certain distance range. Old camera lenses didn't have the ability to give a broad focus spectrum.

Other than that, it's pretty good.
