I was thinking ... a fun way to build competetive teams would be to have everyone run a "placement" race as independants, then match them up by their finish times.
Lets say 12 people entered. First and twelth (is that a word?) would be on a team, second and eleventh, third and tenth, and so on. Of course, everyone would have to be willing to run their best time on the placement race and then be satisfied with whoever their partner is. But I think it would promote much better competition later on.

You can probably count me out this time around. Not enough time. I'm going to very busy over the next six weeks prepping my real-life car (modded '03 Evo, about 380 HP) for the 2004 autocross season, and then competing all year, playing GT4, and of course holding down a full time job and spending time with the wife and kids.
But I may make a "ghost" appearance at Tahiti Maze just to see if I've still got the touch there.
