A-Spec / B-Spec 24 Hours

Hi

This is my first post so please forgive me if this has been done before, but I have checked and can't seem to find anything apart from the A-spec 24 hours club.

I was just wondering which is better to do the 24 hour races in, A-spec or B-spec?

What did you do?

If you have the time, A-Spec is best. So long as the PS2 is well ventilated and not in any position of danger (and no powercuts occur), there's no issue with leaving it on "pause" for a great deal of time. I did my 3 24hr races over about a week each.

B-Spec is better if you don't have the time, but you need a car your B-Spec driver is almost sure of winning in, and you have to periodically check to make sure he hasn't spannered into a wall again.

I did it on B-spec.

Well, I did Nurbergring and Circuit de la Sarth with chicanes on B-spec.

My B-spec driver crashes into the wall on the Mulsanne straight at high speed, so I havn't compleated Circuit de la Sarth without chicanes yet.

I did the Nurburgring 24 hours race in B-Spec. But I didn't have time to do it in A-Spec.

I did them in B-spec; I'm in the process of going back and doing them in A-spec. At this time I'm on 4 1/2 hours. When I did B-spec them I ran my PS3 for about 5 days straight, before you type about 3x speed I did that but while at work and sleep you can't do it. I let "BOB" do the ring about 5 times so I could get several cars.

I do split them and I do alittle and so does B-spec.....Except and Le Sarth with Chicanes he went from first to 4th 4 laps down over night so I did the last 15 or so hours

I've done Nurb. 24 hrs. and Circuit De La Sarthe 24hr. II in B-spec, but I'm considering doing Sarthe I in A-spec.

Aaagh! Clicked A-spec, but as I scrolled down to click vote it changed to B-spec.

I've done all the 24hr enduros in A-spec, some more than once, and I'm planning on running another one soon. 👍
I have never ever used B-spec in my GT4 games ever. 👎
My B-spec stats are still 0-0-0-0.

Leaving the PS2 on and paused for long periods doesn't appear to be an issue. Last time through my PS2 was on continuously for 523 hours or just over 2.5weeks, with no ill effects. 👍

Hmmmm...there's no vote for "both A and B-spec" I haven't done any 24-hour races yet, but I plan on doing mostly A-spec driving, but letting Bob take over while I have a smoke-out or whatever. 👍

I have tried to split between A-Spec and B-Spec, but since I have two other brothers living with me, one of which owns the PS2, I have to finish one 24 hour race once a year. During the day. I cannot leave it on overnight, but it's just as well; I like seeing how my competition does over 24 hours. Besides, it would be unfair to them if I stayed on for 10 hours, let alone 24 hours or a week.

So, I voted for B-Spec.

I've done all of the races in the game in A-spec mode... And I'll be doing the endurance races again using the 200pt Aspec race guide...

All in A-spec so far, despite I've probably done the distance to finish Le Sarthe II but not actually completed it yet in all my attempts so far.
