Lapped the whole grid in the Suzuki GSX-R/4.If you want an easy win, use that car.
Won the race only using 2nd gear of a 15th Anniversary Focus.

I just don't think this is what folks had in mind when they were clamoring for Seasonal Races. Great for the young, casual player though, I'm sure.

OOOHHH another excuse to use my cute lil Honda Fit:P!
I really enjoy these beginner events. It lets me feel like I'm an Elite Player getting Gold first try, give me my paint chip!

I have no issue with different difficulty levels PD are at least trying to cater for everyone rather than pitching them all at the same level.
However I am afraid PD are pretty fixed in their ways, they seem to equate speed with difficulty.
Why wasn't the low PP race the difficult one this time round with the best AI so everyone gets more variety.

God I would love to be able to use some 350-450PP cars in a race with more than a couple of laps where the AI is at least trying its best.

I will probably have severe arthritis & be unable to drive by the time that happens.... sigh

My thoughts exactly, there is a huge choice of good, fun and classic cars below 450pp. It would be good to see the AI battling in some of these.

Im not going to post all the tunes which Ive got gold in, because as everyone knows, pretty much stock cars can win these low PP races. So far, I have won this race with the Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) '08, Subaru Impreza STI '94, Mini Cooper'11. I have another 10 - 12 tunes at this PP with this tyre combination. Keep them on the track and gold is yours.

Link to garage tunes is here

If you feel like a challenge, take one of the 400PP CS tyre tunes and blitz this race. Thats always fun!

Yes I think 400pp or less, and probably CS, will create a bit of a challenge.

I used my good old Mini Marcos at 450pp for this but it was too easy of course. However, it is now the proud owner of 29 wins in my stats .

I think I need something really slow to try - 2CV or Scooby 360 perhaps.

One of the more interesting aspects of GT5 Seasonal Races was the "handicap challenge" aspect. What's the lowest PP someone can find that can win this race?

I just noticed there's paint chips for prizes on this second round. I didn't think there were on the first round of 3, but can anyone confirm? Hopefully I didn't miss 3... :(

Relax.... There were no paint chip prizes on the previous round, you've not missed out. 👍

Did this one firstly in a stock 'Lotus Elise 111r '04' and have over a dozen other cars lined up for the run. :)

These seasonal events are ideal for me to practice & improve on the use of my new DFGT with the vast choice of cars that are available to enter each one with.

This was too easy.
Even I won at first attempt. I used Toyota Prius, that was car with lowest PP(364) in my garage.
It was kind of relaxing driving car like that in Autumn Ring Mini. Just throttle and brake.

Thanks for the reply and congrats on the new wheel! 👍

We may see that down the road; this is after all, only the second set of seasonal races. But you do have to admit that, in general, the powerful racecars are more difficult to control.

Used a 450PP tuned Elise '11, really easy to win. Hopefully they'll give us some more challenging opponents at some point. I remember doing some seasonal races in GT5 that were really hard to win, you had to drive on the limit whereas with the GT6 ones we've had so far you just turn up and win by 20 seconds.

Ran a Stock RX-7 FD (RS-R maybe?) AI was compliant but my grid had another RX-7, which started in 4th, but followed me past the leading Beemer and was in formation as I won the race.
Easy forgiving car that will let you drift around the outside of easy driving AI cars. (A lot of Mitsubishi 3000GTs on track)
1-2 for the Fuchū Massive... and the packed out grandstands went mild for the formation finish.

The most difficult challenge I can recall in GT5 was using a Lancer Evo to win 5 laps at Laguna Seca. The seconds most difficult was a Fiat at Trial Mountain. They were maddening.

The Miata challenge was a pita for a couple of the tracks only one I had issues with really.
The hardest part of the challenges so far in GT6 is the AI brake checking and side swiping you.

If I'm not going to be able to pass an AI car at a given corner I just back off so I won't run into them when they brake way to soon. The side swiping however, is the 🤬 worst. I've had to restart so many races because of that.

Yes, and you used to get a nice bonus .

Tried this baby a couple of times

Last run had me at 375pp and 50BHP and a suspension tune, but was .6 behind the rabbit Elise with 47.8 ish laps. Annoyingly the same gap as my previous attempt with less HP and half second slower laps :dopey:. Great drive though - just dab of brakes for the first corner otherwise just steer around the AI and let off a bit to avoid scrubbing in some corners.

Next up was the classic Mitsubishi Mirage 1400; a close win with stock settings with the exception of SH tyres, at 333pp and 80BHP. Nice.

Showing the young whippersnappers how it's done

The Lambo one at R246 was insane too, the AI cars were over the PP limit and the PP limit was so restrictive you had to run pretty much stock power and weight.

@ Otaliema

Agreed on that, the AI is a danger, especially if you're trying to keep the car undamaged.

At least we don't have to pay for repairs to the body at this time

! I remember these. Drove people crazy...

I am looking for good "Stock" road cars that can break 41s laps, so far, I have Acura NSX R premium (latest year), Subaru B22 STI, Ferrari Dino '71,

minor Suspension tweaking allowed, and i've been using custom tranny and lsd too.

I notice lighter weight cars don't have the HP to pull out of corners on the uphills well that result in 42+ times, ie,

what do you people recommend?
are there cars to beat sub 40s times?

I can't think if any right off but thus lower than my preferred range of 550-600 that I normally run. But I would think any mid weight/power car could do it with some suspension work
