Having just run the international A 15-minutes race on Apricot Hill, the Ai seems on another level than this seasonal, it makes me think that there are different AI logics.

I am thinking that for this seasonal, and any others, PD might beta testing some sort Drivatar that is based on the reactions of average online players... just like Forza...

But because they cannot announce it officially, they (PD) might could be still developing the system...

What do you all think?

Went for a quick jaunt in a mostly stock Shelby Cobra: custom 'box, SM tyres and a bit of limiter. Fun and easy win with a couple of trips on to the grass. More understeer than I remember, maybe it's the new settings? Non of the AI can match that acceleration though

kudo to new AI. Even the AI is too late to brake to stay on the track, at least, they are improving. It gives me a chance of fun game with a sense of competition instead of passing a train of cars. Keep on! I hope the AI in Career mode can be altered to new AI.

Picked a stock Megane RS Trophy 440pp for a silver but had to move up to a slighly tuned 450pp version for gold.
The last race I did had 5 cars in front of me flying all over the track. I love the crazy driving in these Seasonals

AI is weird here. I took the lead at the beginning of lap 3 in tuned M3 with max PP, tyres and verything at best. Won by 20+sec easily. Then retried a few times, ended with roughly same result every time (took over the lead at the beginning of lap 3 and won by 10-20sec) with detuned car several times and at the end with completely stock car, detuned down to about 370bhp and with 100kg added. I didn't continue this "detune saga", because I had no more time to play...

Now that was really weird. And lap times started with 1:22 with max PP and ended with about 1:35 for detuned version. But still same result...

This is a nice tune, though wasted in this intermediate challenge. More "expert" less "beginner" challengers, offline is for learning IMO.

You're right, but given I am a bad driver I need all the help I can get :embarrassed:. Once I get a gold I sometime try out difffernt things as a learning exercise but I have been posting the first setup I gold with. I use lower PP in career races to try and improve my driving, but with seasonals I just go for as fast a car as I can (where fast is not just speed), preferably with a car I already own. I do the world a favour and keep out of online races.

To put into perspective how easy this race is, I used a Honda NSX Type R '02 tuned to 550PP, using a setup from GT5 (I think it was probably Praiano's.)

I was in the lead by the end of the second lap.

Can't find my GT JAPANESE 008-W paint chip among my 1951 total paints...would someone (logically someone that doesn't have too terribly many paints) be so kind as to let me know which finish (Solid, Metallic or Pearlescent--I have few enough of the rest to know it's not there) it can be found under?

For anyone (not you experts crowing about how easy it is) having problems note you can really brake much later than the AI and go around the big left hander much faster than the AI also. 1:33 -1:35 lap times should be enough. I found the Cadillac CTS-V a surprise as a nice cruiser in the sub 550 pp range.

Was driving the x bow yesterday on Ascari, and just on the whim saw it was green lighted for Apricot Hill, so I thought why not? What a kick! And somewhere along the way I've grown in skill, or, the KTM is no longer the slippery skate board I remember prior to v1.09.

I get the impression that the AI skills improve a lot if they "see" a challenge in this event.

I've been trying with many cars at many PP levels just for the fun of it, and the $$!

Generally a PP 550 will allow me to leave the AI behind very quickly, but I've found that if I stay close to the leaders and tease them a little, they speed up mightily. One AI driver in the Lamborghini improved his lap times by up to 13 seconds in the final two laps. I see it most apparent if the leaders stay close to each other and vie for the lead. That makes them much more worthy opponents, and provides a more enjoyable racing experience.

My theory is that they are like the B-Spec drivers in GT5 whose emotions get charged up when in proximity to other cars.

On a different topic, the best challenge I tried was when using the Honda Fit. The most unsuccessful challenge I set myself was in the Jay Leno Tank Car.

I hate that Lambo guy, what a sick. Haha, sub d for s back there... He really hates seeing me drive better than him, and he seems to take it personally. On the other hand I can easily get the RUF driver to blow the bottom of the hill nearly every time by drag racing him (err her?) to the corner on their inside.
