Proof reading would be a virtue, but I am an American
May I suggest 'patience' as a better one? Being American should in no way hamper you.
It wasn't proper 'English' in question but the concept you were trying to express - "then" would mean something else altogether from "than":
A simple oversight on their part, easier to fix by reopening these (than?) then hammering something together in a hurry.
Do you mean it was easier to open these
than hammering together something in a hurry - or do you mean: they opened these
then are hammering together something in a hurry.
Only clarification was required - I don't have time to hand out English lessons.
What I meant by oversight is we normally would get some new A-spec races when the old ones expire.
Not in my experience. PD is unpredictable. Assumptions with the word 'normal' attached to it surely don't make such a fact? I was hoping for some 'A-Spec' races (actually no such thing as A-Spec exists in GT6 - but we'll use that term to label Career Mode for the sake of the discussion) myself, and was disappointed to only find Overtake Missions.
There have been many weeks that PD only ran TTs of one sort or another and hardly provided a 'Non-obligatory- overtake' race with the AI.
They were so wrapped up in getting the Holiday goodies out the door that they overlooked adding the A-spec races.
Again an assumption, but more than likely. Major corporations are riddled with mis-communication mishaps, and lack of communication between departments. Anything may have happened - even what you think happened - that led to this to-and-fro with the events.
Or they may have pulled it to tweak the code.
We don't know. At least - I certainly don't.
Or maybe someone important raised a ruckus...
I believe this is where our conversation started.
👍
Whatever the reason, someone did. With the effect that the events were replaced.
If someone didn't, then it was an approved plan all along . . . which would be very, very . . . strange.
As you may understand now, it was more than proper English at stake.
