When I ran it on sport hard, I almost gave up because it is impossible to win even though the car is so damn fun to drive, I don't even care to win. Suddenly, when I soup it up with sport soft, wow wow wow, the car is not only just fun but also so damn fast everywhere and I won with NO expectation to win. Again, I focused so much in driving the car and forgot about the race. The win is just a by-product of the enjoyment lol.

Truth!!! LOL!!!

Don't you do the Red Bull Challenge for credits? I just wondered because I've bought all the Ferraris (and almost all "detailed interior" cars) but didn't use the money glitch either.
Of course I do 👍 But to get up to 50mill buy the 20mill cars work the credits back up again is just too time consuming for this 50 yr old grandfather
What with seasonals, TTs and every day life work, family etc it is not high on my list of priorities , plus who wants to get a red bull head ache, cross eyes and dizzines oh and achy arms ? Most of my time on GT6 is spent chasing a top 250 pos at the moment :P

370,000 credits.

Thanks, mate. 👍

... The only real challenge was with the 512BB. For some reason, the Enzo attacked the crap out of that car. It took me out from behind four or five times late enough into lap 5 that I wasn't able to recover the lost position. Strange, as the cars that are slower than the 512BB didn't have this problem.

I haven't tried with the 512 yet, but I had exactly the same thing with the F40. My other cars were largely left alone, but the F40 was like a red rag to a bull for some reason...!

I keep going back and forth trying to decide if I should spend half of my $40M on the Ferrari 250 GTO '62 race car. It's such a classic.

Why don't save your game to a USB stick, buy the car & test drive it. If you then think it's worth it, keep it. If not, no problem. Just copy your save again... :) 👍

Edit: Oops. Forgot to multi quote...

Oh, I know about that little test drive trick... :D

I don't think a single day of driving around would really be enough to know if I like the car. I mean, I'm not expecting it to be the greatest driver in the first place. It's an old Ferrari that has typical 1960s Ferrari power, not 2000s Enzo-like power. I like cars with character, maybe even going so far to say that I don't mind a car that is totally cranky to drive (as long as it's a classic or 'special' car). Will I end up using it in Seasonals? I've started to break away from just rushing to the GSX-R or NSX-LM or whatever is considered the "best/easiest performing" car for a particular seasonal. I'm sure I'll end up liking the car just fine, but I'm sure it will spend most of its time collecting dust in my garage. That's okay. It's one of the most sought after cars in the world right now...

ALB123, new Pink Floyd album is great! 👍

This event is a good grinder and practice. 370k for a win in 12 minutes is pretty good. 1,110,000 in ~36 minutes.

In a stock Dino at 413pp I'm passing the Enzo at the sharp left corner with a late apex on lap 5 with the last laps in the high 19 low 20 second range if I'm doing alright. We go back and forth until the end. Just did it again to make sure that was correct.

Yeah...I'm really diggin' it. I was nervous when I heard it would be 99% instrumental/ambient music, but I really think it's a very interesting album.

Wow...great job winning with the Dino at 413PP. I haven't drive a completely stock Dino for this event. I'll have to remember to give it a shot before they take this event away from us..

Sorry to interrupt, instead of focusing in grinding for the credits. Shift your focus to how do I spend "quality" time driving whatever car for "FUN" and focus on the "driving" and not credits. Ultimately, it is a game and you should "enjoy" it. Don't let the game play you, you play the game!!!!

As a matter of fact, I have no login bonus. I don't do any red bull or whatever bull, pig, rabbit, dog, cat... trick. I only completed license A or B or whatever that is to let me go online and then I simply participate in all the seasonal events that I find fun. Guess what, I still have more than enough credits to buy several cars to test drive them in various events and league races.

Don't let the game play you, you play the game! :D

WHAAAAT!!!!!! I can't believe I am reading this!!!!

I would highly recommend an attempt to complete the game, not only for the prize cars and all the Cr. collected along the way, but also for the immense satisfaction it brings and of course all the fun to be had, as well as it being a definitively helpful step towards notching up your skill level and getting a whole lot better at the game in general.

I have been through the game up to at least 75% completed four times on a few other accounts. One of those by using my DFGT only, no DS3 allowed.

Words to live by!!!

Just had to see why everyone goes with Dino here. First took it out stock and made tons of mistakes, off track, penalties, etc. Came 6th with fast lap 2:26.

Next I changed SS tires and gave it another try. Managed consistent 2:20 laps and was able to pass the Enzo on lap 5 before the long straight. Naturally it rocketed past me on the straight and I almost was able to pass it again in the final corners. Sadly I was 1 second behind at the finish line.

Too bad I woke up to this fun a bit late. It would have been nice to finish first with a stock Dino on SS but now I don't have time to try anymore.

I just can't catch the Enzo with the stock Dino, 2nd place I can manage. The F430 seems to have an issue with my lily white little car. Clobbered me twice, then the 599 took a shot at me too. Maybe if I would have selected red, they wouldn't have noticed it. Oh well I tried 3 or 4 times, so I got the credits back. Too bad there aren't folders to arrange your garage, I have several cars that are stock & it would be nice to group them. I have duplicates of several cars now.

Could you come to my house and run the Red Bull Challenge for me for a few hours? :D

A) I hate the Red Bull cars. I just think they're stupid.
B) I'm not good with them at all.
C) I could see myself running through all the races in the Championship just to come in 4th or 5th place and then I'd be really mad.
D) I have run the race at Silverstone about 5 or 6 times (using the cheats - cutting across the infield) to rack up some quick credits, but I felt bad about doing it that way. So, I stopped. I don't even know if those cuts are still possible across the grass sections.

As you can see, it's not quite so simple for someone like me to "just go do the Red Bull Championship for 2-3 hours". I never took advantage of the credit glitch either. I'm not a gamer. I had never played a single second of a Gran Turismo title before I bought my copy of GT6. I told myself I was going to take this game seriously. For some reason, I felt that using the credit glitch would cheapen my experience somehow. I don't know how, but I felt I would be cheating myself the challenges that one faces when starting off in Career Mode, trying to win races with the pathetic car(s) you can barely afford to put better tires on. Now that I've seen how crummy Career Mode actually is, I just wish that I had done it to at least get the $20,000,000 cars. The Miura is my most expensive car at $15,000,000. I keep going back and forth trying to decide if I should spend half of my $40M on the Ferrari 250 GTO '62 race car. It's such a classic.

I turn on the PS3 with GT6 once a day, normally for somewhere between fifteen and forty-five minutes. When I was chasing credits to complete the $20M car set, I would run the Red Bull Challenge on standard once almost every day. The most times I ever ran the standard challenge in a single day was twice. And I've done that on just two occasions.

From these and 200% from the seasonals, plus the career and occasional events, I've had more than enough money to buy all the Ferrari and Lamborghini vehicles on top of the "detailed interior" $20M cars.

I'd assumed that many others were doing the same. I can understand if you just don't like the Red Bull cars though. I wouldn't have run the standard championship so often if it wasn't the quickest way of making in-game money.

Of course I do 👍 But to get up to 50mill buy the 20mill cars work the credits back up again is just too time consuming for this 50 yr old grandfather

One of the main reasons I play this game is for the fun of collecting various vehicles (and trying them out). Without the Red Bull Challenge (or some equally profitable race), I doubt I would be able to play the game the way I want to--within the 15-45 minutes a day I have for it.

That said, and as I've mentioned before this, I only have to run the standard challenge once a day (and I stopped doing that months back) to have enough money for all the cars I desire.

I understand fully what you are saying teflonicus 👍

I share a similar sentiment to you in regards to collecting cars etc.
it is my desire to collect all the cars in the game  as I almost achieved in GT5

maybe one day will collect enough credits to buy all the cars in the game, trouble is I get up to 10 mill then go on a spending spree

At the moment I'm really trying to test myself in the TTs and thats pretty much all I have time for :)
Good luck in your endeavours and i hope you enjoy the game as much as I do :D

I got gold on this last night on my first attempt, with a bog standard 458 italia (ABS 1 no other aids) best lap was 2'15.1xx :)
I think it really helped that I only got round to doing the superlicence (all gold) a week or two ago and still have the track fresh in my head, fantastic track to slide a powerful car round :D

Decided to go back and do the 413PP Dino challenge before this seasonal goes away. Wow. What an adventure. And not necessarily a good one. But sometimes okay. haha.

Here is what I noticed. If I drove a perfect course with good lines, no bumping, etc, I could catch the Enzo somewhere in the second half of lap 3. Could definitely manage to pass him well before lap 5. But here is the rub. IF I did that it was a an absolute certainty that he would ram the crap out of me on the stretch between Brundle and Sebring. I mean, I knew it was coming every single time. One of the times was so ridiculous I just had to laugh out loud. He literally came up on me with enough speed to blow my doors off. But instead of passing me, he came right up on my right side rear quarter panel and nudged me into a spin. I had to save the replay just to confirm it was actually that audacious.

On the other hand, if I made a mistake (sometimes intentionally, just to prove my theory) somewhere between the later half of lap 4 or early in lap 5, it was guaranteed that there would be some point before the end of the race whereby I could easily pass him back for the win. It could be that he simply ran off the track or that he carries a lower speed through Daytona that I can easily roll past him. No matter how it happened, if I made a mistake at the right point of the race, all I had to do was wait for the obvious opportunity and take advantage of it before the end of lap 5.

So my final conclusion on using the 413PP Dino in this race was that it was, overall, not that fun.
I always try very hard to run clean races, stay on the track, don't hit other cars, and all that good stuff. And I feel great when I can do it. But even though I was able to pull off several wins with this car, I don't feel good about any of them. Because I did not have ONE SINGLE CLEAN race! And the most frustrating part is that, I was completely helpless to have any control over that! The better I did, the more certain it was that the Enzo would cause some sort of crash. That's frustrating.

I'm not a programmer. So I can't begin to understand the challenges of using computer code to try and emulate real drivers. But I can't imagine that it's too hard to avoid creating just adversarial conditions. I mean, really. I would think that PD would want to PROMOTE good quality driving. Instead, some of these races practically endorse bad driving, reckless driving, and even blatant unsportsmanlike driving. They should be ashamed.

Ultimately, I'm satisfied that I could use the 413PP Dino for some wins. But only because I proved to myself that I could do it with my entire Ferrari stable. The only fun I had with this seasonal was with any car that I could do sub 2:10 laps in. Because then, once cleanly through the traffic, the damn Enzo couldn't catch me and I could concentrate on running a clean race that ended with (hopefully) a new best time. I never did break the 11 minute barrier. But I got close and I know it was possible AND I had fun trying.

PP413. No Aids. No Tune. Only Change From Stock Sport Soft Tires. Fast Lap 2:22. Won By .359. Pass For The Win At Laguna. The Enzo and Dino Traded Lots Of Banging Starting At Piff-Paff For A Penalty For The Dino. At Laguna We Again Bumped Into Each Other But No Penalty. I Was Able To Still Control The Dino For The Win.

Truth!! My video above is a lot of what you said.

:) Right, just achieved a new personal best lap in the GTO '84 - 2:15.703!! I've really come to like this track, so I decided to tune-up my 458 and have a go at the Super Licence 10Lap Challenge, gold on my first attempt and pitting twice, (end of laps 4+7), been a very productive week both in terms of credits earned and, more importantly, experience gained.
Now, what's all the fuss about this little Dino.....

I'm so freakin' bummed...I loaded up my GT6 to run the Ferrari Challenge a few more times and it's gone!! The new Seasonals were already posted when I logged on at 10pmEST. They used to always appear after midnight EST. Now they seem to be popping up earlier and earlier...

Oh well. I'll miss ya Ferrari Challenge. You were fun!

35 minutes ago I notice a change, when I put my PS3 on.
