Nurburgring. Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car. Cockpit race on replay view. Clean race did trade some paint. Tune by me. No aids. Fast lap 6:42.092. Pass for the win over the Citroen Race Car at Sprughugel. Winning margin 00.861.

This is 1 of the best cars to drive around this track. I would term the CLK car as an all-rounder that has stability & speed. I love the 190E car as well but it's not as powerful as the CLK car.

Here 3 proposals for the new year:

NOSEXP R600RH AUDIR809 R600RH 716797 20171231_185748.jpg
NOSEXP R600RH CCLMRC06 R600RH 20171231_123153.jpg
NOSEXP R600RH HS2000LM R565RH 711557 20171230_192304.jpg

  • Corvette LMRC '06: FL 6:27.432; 600pp @WhoosierGirl tune with proper NOS gearing, great GT feeling.
  • R8 LMS '09; FL 6:38.964; 600pp @xande1959 tune, 50KG ballast positioned for 47:53. Interesting the min/min DF driving.
  • S2000 LMRC: FL 6:33.474; maxed 565pp with a mix of @ERAZER / @Thorin Cain tunes, no limits funny car...
All the best for 2018.

ciao

The 190E has always been one of my go to MB race cars in GT6 and out. I only wish it had as much get up and go as the CLK. And yes on the handling of both cars is super nice. C class MB with the 204 chassis is the best that MB has ever made. On the street and track I am currently running the C32AMG/420HP/3200 in weight.

BMW V12 LMR:
very stable and very good to control. Did only one lap with some problems but still got a hot lap around 6.50 min ending up on 2nd place behind the Zonda.

Car was nearly stock, only the suspension git the soft mode and gearing put to 310 km/h (which was a little bit too high, 290 or 300 will fit better).

I will give this car a retry as it's real fun to drive. A little bit lack of power but too nice to get it around the ring.

I have won at LeMans in GT6 with this car but it is never going to be fast at 600PP

After some controller flying sessions, and some refinements and experiments, I managed to shave 10 seconds off my previous GARAIYA GT300 tune. I have some ideas left, but I think Im becoming too obsessed with it. I did some testing on the Route X to see the impact of downforce and height vs max speed and I achieved a good balance by reaching 301 kph on the straight and improving the cornering habilities; in its actual state, I think I might be doing something wrong because it feels a little too stiff, and I had to step back a little ffrom an experiment because I was getting some lock-ups.
Well, even as I didnt managed to achieve my goal, I feel that I learned a lot and that I improved my tune, I guess in better hands my GT300 would do better.

So I did think on looking at other options, and remembered the many mentions that @coryclifford 's TS030 suggestion had.
Full aero and full soft.
90/90
Min/min
1/1
1/1
3/3 (ok, not full soft)
O/0
0/0

LSD 5/11/5

That's a good place to start.
So what do I have to lose?
And these are the first tries on both of my accounts
TS030_NÜR_600pp01.jpg

TS030_NÜR_600pp02.jpg

In the first image I went behind the McLaren's stream on the straight and took over in the penultimate curve :mischievous:
On the second image, was the first try of my secound account so I drove a little better and overtook the McLaren on the last curve previous to the straight, so I lost some seconds due to that.
OMG this thing glides over the nür! You can barely feel the bumps on the straight!
I thougt that the hight ride setting comensated the strong downforce but I had doubts on the soft spring rates and the comp/ext ratios, but sometimes the counterintuitive approaches can bring refreshing ideas!! (to me at least)
As @coryclifford suggested, you can take his suggestion and make improvements, but maybe I won have much time to implement them :grumpy: Anyway I gave my ego a nice stroke by defeating the McLaren!
Thanks for the TS030 and Happy 2018!!

Thanks and lets toast

Meanwhile, DTM Calibra & 190e are trying to race close to 155...

Opel Calibra DTM '94: FL 6:33.072 - 585pp @praiano63 maxed setup (w/ gear changes) - few ms gap with 155, Opel faster on straight but less agile
Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM '92: FL 6:35.078 - 586pp my maxed basic setup - no 4WD is a gap when you touch kerbs, 2sec gap could be filled by fine tuning

Nürburgring. TVR Tuscan Speed 6 Touring Car with in line 6 motor. P1 Pagani Zonda V12 motor LM Race Car. P2 Ford V8 motor LM Race Car. Cockpit race. Tune by me. Winning margin over the Zonda 00.655. Pass for the win over the Zonda at Dottinger Hohe.

So I heard The Zytec was good and there were good tines around.
ZYTEC_NÜR_600pp01.jpg
Stock except for the LSD that I set at 5/20/20 to make it controller friendly and a power setting downgrade to 600pp.
The car feels nice but a little bit oversteery to my driving style.
Im beginning to dislike the Lister and the R8's because I feel that the only function they fulfill in here is that of roadblocks :ouch:

EDIT
I forgot a quick question

Where do I get the Praiano's Tunes? In the GT5 thread, the some tunes where displayed as images and the related service (Photobucket) doesnt allow 3rd party hosting anymore and the google play app is not available in my country... HALP!

@Wydopen 👍

Just wait until you start fine tuning the transmission. The thing becomes a rocket ship. Even the basic flip makes it faster. I get messages all the time after quick matches asking why is my car so much faster to accelerate. Short gears and charge the battery. Brake right to corner apex.

Ferrari 330 P4. Cockpit race on replay view. Tune by me. No Aids. Clean Race other than trading some paint. Fast lap 6:32.954. Winning margin over the Zonda 01.655. Zonda in P1 and McLaren F1 GTR in P2. Pass for the win at Dottinger Hohe.

i'm trying so hard with this car ... best i could do was second place very few times ... spinning and crashing a lot.
What was your tune?

@lfm58 Thank you so much
As many times before, when I was inserting the tune, I was surprised to see some of the concepts.
50:50 torque? But I was impressed that you can achieve high maneurability with such a setup.
I had a challenge adapting to this because the car felt to me "laggy" as I use a Sixaxis and the torque distribution requires of you fast but careful turning or you'll be biting grass and meeting the walls.
ALFA155_NÜR_584pp01.jpg

I only changed the PP to 584, adjusted the accel LSD and extended the otherwise perfectly tuned transmission so I can reach a greater top speed on the straight.
I dindt had enough time to practice more, but at least I got to experience the @praiano63 's Alfa

@ishikawa2501
For sure 50:50 is too conservative for a TT but for a seasonal race it could make sense because you drive on the rails.
The key is to overtake the competitors without to loose time and to control the car at the best when you touch the kerbs.

Anyway, i would be interested to you LSD & gears modifications since my 155 was suffering a lack of speed on the longer strights.

Lastly I would attach the last car I have driven for this Green Hell seasonal:

Garaiya GT300 '08: FL 6:32.294; 600pp @WhoosierGirl setup (w/ few changes); very fast butterfly to be driven w/o muscle...

ciao
