The red Rocket does its job very nicely around here :).

I won with the RUF CTR '96 over the Murcielago. Fast lap 7:22.950. Yes super wild ride as you have to counter-steer going into a corner and counter-steer out of the corner. Also after counter-steering if you do not go back to top dead center you will spin out. The RUF Porsche is an excellent tool to develop/practice inducing and recovering from, over-steer until it is a sublime and measured drift, balanced with the fingertips and a deft foot on the throttle. And that's just for starters.

Will post video later. Glad you won with this car as it is a handful for sure. Bravo to you @GTsail .
Pure racing wisdom with a slight poetic ring to it.👍:)

Well just in case you'd like to try it again, I'll give you my tune I threw on the DN-X... I found it surprisingly fun to drive, and worked great using power sliding to my advantage. I did 4 races in it, winning all four, with the fourth's time as I posted earlier. Maybe it will help you, maybe not. Not everybody like the same tuning style.

Suspension:

RH: 55/70
SR: 9.25/13.00
DC: 4/5
DE: 5/4
AB: 4/4
CA: 0.0/0.0
TA: 0.00/0.00
BB: 5/5 Racing

Transmission: (Do Last)

(Reset to default after power changes)
FG: 5.000 (I'm pretty sure, if not try 5.500)
Max speed to Min.
FG: 3.100
So gears should be as follows...
1st: 3.190
2nd: 2.270
3rd: 1.713
4th: 1.350
5th: 1.112
6th: 0.955

Drivetrain:

8/10
10/15
10/10
Triple Plate Clutch
Carbon Drive Shaft

Power:

96.5%
Stage 1 Engine
Sports ECU
Sports Exhaust
Sports Manifold
Sports Cat. Con.
Sports Intake

Body:

Stage 3 Weight Reduction
Window Weight Reduction
48 kg ballast @ -50

This will get you 550pp, 499hp, 1,200kg, 48/52 Weight Dist., 334ft-lb torque, 2.40 kg/HP.

I found with this setup, you brake just a touch earlier than normal, but get on the gas early to straighten out of the power slides. For my style of driving, it was well balanced and decently quick for acceleration. Don't slam on the brakes, just pump them quickly on off on off. I always use TC1 ABS 5. Hope it helps...

Cheers

Thank you for the tune but as I said, I'm done with those cars. Used a couple of other cars, the Toyota TF-1 was okay, the Saleen S7 was good and one of the fastest and the Jaguar XJ220 was reasonable.

Tried the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner '04 against what is probably the slowest field. I felt like I was going really slow and was really only trying to stay on the track and was gonna use the race to tweak the truck for future races in hopes for a win.... and somehow I won with a stupid setup and a wing that i may not need! Alien drivers using a real setup can probably drive backwards faster than my time.... but as of right this minute....I don't care!

YAY!! Another pick up in this race, I'll have to take mine out and see if I can improve my time...

If you don't own the track - like me - let me tell you, key is NOT crashing ;)

Used the Pagani C12S prize car from Intermediate Event, and after not crashing more than once, it felt like an easy win  which it probably wasn't :scared:

Used a tune from Jerome (@Jeje6410) - thanks mate , with FG @ 3000.

Edit: Time was a 8:18, with 2.5s advantage.
BTW, it's not the same event as linked in 'Repeated Event'

Thanks a ton for recommending the Pagani car.

Won with it on the 1st try with this car & with default setup. The car is quite fun to drive & stable around the corners.

Now that I've sampled a ton of cars on the 'Ring, I figured it was time to push a few of them a little harder, so I ran a few hard laps with the following cars and was able to reach the 7:45 mark:

First up was the McLaren MP4-12C again:

Second up was a little used VW W12 Nardo '01:

And finally the Cadillac CIEN '02 again:

The Cadillac CIEN is very fast, though its quite touchy if you stray on to any grass patch, so watch out!!
Good fun!

For a change of pace, I also found out that the Buick Special can win on the 'Ring::)

A picture just as I'm about to pass the race leading SRT Viper ACR who is mighty surprised to see a Buick overtaking him:D

The Buick is a complete boat driving thru the corners but once it gets hooked up going down a straight: watch out!!:)

Im still quicker in the LFA Nurburg package. Did a 8.07 compared to a 8.12 in the 458. Funny how different cars suit other drivers.
Thanks for the info!👍
I tuned up my LFA Nurburgring Package and was able to crack 8 minutes with it:

View attachment 646927

The LFA has a very strong motor so its very fast, but its handling is suspect so it took some work before I was able to run a lap under the 8 minute mark.:banghead: In my hands, the LFA had a tendency to over-rotate which would cause me to spin-out or make it necessary to get on the binders much harder than I would have liked to keep up my speed thru the corners.:scared:

I also ran the Ferrari 458 Italia '09 and went under 8 minutes as well:

View attachment 646928

The 458 Italia is not as fast as the LFA but is better handling and I think I could run slightly better and more consistent laps. It also feels like its tires have more grip so you can power thru the corners somewhat better. With some more practice, I think I could shave off another second or two from my lap times.

*** used the @Jeje6410 McLaren F1 '94 which is a very good handling car at this track ***.
View attachment 646602
On Jeje6410 car use this gear box below for this track, final gear to 5.000 then max speed to 240kmh and then do the gears and then the final gear, this car will get you under the 8 minutes without the road blocks which I had some trouble with couple of AI out on the track.

Last night I decided to give the 'Ring a try with the McLaren F1 '94 to see if I could break 8 minutes
After ten attempts I finally ran a 8 flat lap which was almost good enough:

So close,:banghead: but still not enough speed so I had to pack it in for the night and let the McLaren cool down for the night.

And then this morning I made another 10 attempts and finally was just able to crack the 8 minute barrier with this lap::)

I'm worn out!:dopey:
The McLaren F1 is a beautiful car, but is a little under-powered at the 550PP value as compared to some of the other cars I've run, so I really had to push it to reach the 8 minute mark, however, its also quite touchy on the grass or if the back-end gets out of shape so I had many aborted laps where I spun out or had other Armco bending incidents.:ouch:
As @fordlaser says, the AI seems to like being a road-block for my McLaren, so I had many laps that were compromised by slow-moving AI who would hog the road and make it tough for me to get past, and the McLaren doesn't have enough grunt to just power past everyone so I always wanted to keep my speed up as I pass the AI and sometimes this isn't possible:banghead::yuck:

Hard work but great fun!

When ever I try some one elses Tune my lap times are slower. My best tunes for Nurburgring seems to be Racing soft suspension, weight reduction, top speed set to red line down the long straight and the rest on default. Could do no better than a 8.04 yesterday in the Tommy ZZII.

The red line down on the straight is the best strategy for winning at the "Green Hell".

Hi @skeagracing, could you clarify the anti roll bar and Camber angle values? Should they be 4-5 and 0.2-0.9?
Thanks Buddy!
