As I put above I was wrong version for this race. After that is only a game. I have two versions: one in 500 PP with 331 hp and another in 550 PP with 487 hp. This is the 550 PP used here. After that is just a game. It is not comparable with reality. I know very well that a guy will never buy a Pagani with 331 hp. Now it is my choice to propose several versions. For the game this still remains nice cars to drive for those who want.

I don't think he was criticising anyone that does detune their cars, a lot of people want to have the quickest car possible for the event and in the bizarre world of GT, the fastest way is to buy something fast and restrict it til it's inside the PP limit. The laptimes that people are getting out of those cars is staggering no matter how they went about it.
I'll occasionally drop something back a few PP (5-10PP at most) if it's just over the limit, but like @infamousphil I prefer to go out there with a car that's stock power for race cars, or tune up rather than down for road cars. Neither way is wrong or right, it's just a different approach. I'm just happy knowing I'm not the only one making life harder for myself!

I did not take it as a criticism.

Not hating or flaming. But man!.. I really don'the like detuning the engine. It, to me, is like not the same car. Yeah, I get that we want to win, win, win. But I get so much more enjoyment from knowing that the original driving characteristics are already there. Cain't imagine a real Zonda owner detuning his 400+ hp wonder whip being detuned to 300hp. Guess I'm compelled to respond because there just aren't enough 'no detuning' rooms online out there.

I do both, because i like driving different cars and many are not eligible otherwise.
Also take part in the Stock challenges, because it makes things comparable and is fun to see how low PP can go :)
Everybody enjoys different aspects of this game, like QMs - which i hate for all the 🤬 out there ;)

 Just enjoy

Yeah, I got it. The expert challenge is a 550. Solid! Sounds like this one will be a real challenge for me.

PD should have, long ago, restricted the cars to be used in specific races. The rules have been way too open for too long.

It's probably not that hard to do; I'm sure they could find a way to make the seasonals only open to a particular type of car. They do it when they run the SuperGT/JGTC, or GT3, or BMW M car events, so they could easily do it for LMP cars, maybe supercars too. Or it could be done by only allowing cars that were in a certain PP range from the showroom (you can search the dealerships like that after all). Or they could limit the amount of ballast or power detuning that's permitted, and use some kind of performance balancing like they do for loaner cars in the QM events - it would be nice if they did that anyway. I expect people would eventually gravitate towards whatever car posted the quickest time for each event, but it would make things more interesting as everyone experimented.

In the TTs i do not always take the fastest car first, but challenge against some mates in a different car with - sometimes - same tune even.
If there were more Seasonals, 1-type races or TTs would make sense as well, but having one car out of 1200 for a challenge would also bother many i assume.
Maybe the grouping in GTSport will be better!?

Since there is always someone faster than me, i value fun over success anyhow

Ridox2JZGTE Replica Garage has won a Seasonal Event!
After three trials using first a Mustang, then a Lamborghini, and then @Ridox2JZGTE replica of Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07 as it is from his garage, only fitted Sports: Medium tires on it. And what a race it was, it ended as one of the closest, and barely not won races I have raced in GT6. Thank you @Ridox2JZGTE . Here is the result below. Everyone, try Ridox tune for this Seasonal challenge:)

Lol... I really miss posting here and am happy you guys do understand where i'm coming from. I have detuned before but cain't shake the feeling that I am somehow cheating. Not to say that those who do are 'cheaters'. But when I fall further behind my friends in the rankings... it's disheartening.

Currently at 60+ cars out of more than 200 to be tuned down from 549 - 501pp, in race tune, to an even 500pp. Done with the 650s, 600s and 550s. Yeah, i'm way behind schedule. Looking forward to set some 550pp rwd, 4dr sedan times at the green hell this weekend. Yup, the heavy weights. Suspect that the M5 will set the best lap but being a fan of MOPAR and NISMO, ...

This one is kicking my 🤬. I've tried 4 cars, 8 different line ups and the best I've managed is P2. I'm glad this is the 1st few days. My best has been in the NSX LM with the tune from the previous Super Lap. Can't for the life of me remember whose tune it is though. I apologize for the fuzzy picture, but this was after 30 minutes of racing. I know the car is good it's the driver that's having the issue . When I can get back to the PS3 I'll post the tune if anyone is interested.

....speaking of the 458. A pleaseant wild ride for 8+ minutes :D

Not to fazed about the difference between using tuned, detuned, stock or anything inbetween. Not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes either, just here to have fun 👍

EDIT: fixed typo

A very tuned Honda NSX Type R '02 on SM might get under 8 minutes. Not a concept car but does seem favoured by PP limited regs.

Zonda with big engine is rabbit. 576pp or thereabouts in a 550pp event with nearly 1 minute headstart and 10 cars between you. :scared:

Don't know about fun Fordy, first run with the MP4 had Igor Fraga's tune from Brands, twitchy as at that speed after not driving it since then. Got tossed into the boonies off two kerbs, some of the AI seemed as big as trucks and ended up fourth 23 sec. behind the Zonda.

So tried stock with the standard suspension after hard and soft and it was the best imho but I was more puffed then jovial.

Went and tried again with the 12C and did it in 7:58.6 in total, lap was a 7:04. The tune was as light as possible, all upgrades of suspension, transmission set on 320kmh, Sport normal tires and power limiter set for maximum power. This did the trick for me.

Newb and novice here. Been on this one for hours, slowly grinding lap time down with the ZZII. Got 2nd with an 8:19 time, then 1st with 8:20. Ran on AT, only thing changed was ride height, to 70:70 and sports: medium tyres. Found it was best during a race with the Murcielago.

I've managed 2nd place is several cars, but the only car I've successfully got 1st place in is the ZZII.

As I suspected, this is a fun one. It's nice when the event is actually a challenge.

Edit: Just did it first try in the MP4 -- I'd highly recommend it to anyone struggling

after a metric but-ton of tries (literally!), i was able to win the event with my ZZ-II (leader is another ZZ-II). I did it in 8:06.xxx while the other ZZ-II is at around 8:09.xxx

I went with an unusual choice for my car, the 99 Vantage. Even after removing all the weight, bumping up the power to 601 hp and doing a little suspension work, the car was an absolute boat.

After four tries, my time was an 8:19 and I got the win, barely. I had to draft the Aston One-77 all the way down the long straight and outbrake him at the end to sneak by.

I took @coryclifford advice and used a stock MP4 and got P2 2.3 sec. behind the LP 640. I had 1 completely off in the grass and a half off and that's what cost me the win. The rabbits were the 640 and the SLR. I hadn't ever driven this car completely stock before and I am amazed with this beauty. So thanks Cory, it's not the first time I have paid heed to your suggestions.👍 I ran this race on my son's account and since this is where I have mainly been playing. So if you happen to get a FR from Reaper0fTheVoid it's me.

BTW, I have 5 of these in my garage but all with numerous A,B,C tunes. Now I have a brand new one in my garage.
