Once again, A. David bites the dust ... Someone told me he would start playing golf or backgammon, I do not know exactly :lol:

👍 Cory

This is pretty much the extent of my capabilities though.......

I have met up with A. David where he has started in either 1st, 2nd (the above race) or 3rd. Not sure if he is faster or slower depending on where he starts, as he seems fast regardless. I did see him once leave the track while rounding Brooklands corner a few days ago but can't remember his starting position.

Anyway 👍

I was looking in my stockyard and found that I had the Zonda LM Race Car. So I thought why not use it at Silverstone. Didn't change the oil, didn't use a tune just ran it as is and to my surprise it handled great, was fast and I won. The Citroen GT was the rabbit along with a couple of Audis. I just forgot to spend some Credits so that they didn't go up in smoke again. I just don't know what to buy. That's why I opened my stockyard because I had 40 cars there and couldn't remember what they were. I guess I'll go to the Beginner event and join in on the how low you can go and still win.

It is difficult to find a race that will allow a good time in the first 2,3 laps, maybe no one... The AI is catastrophic and hinders a lot because not fast enough, seeming to look for contact to slow down the player ... You go over to the left or right and they come to stick and accelerate, slow corners and closing door in final !! (except A. David who wakes up and starts his boost when we go over him ...)
Artificial Idiotie !!

9.39.984 in my last attempt with 2 laps (4-5) in 1.47.5. 1.47.3 picture will follow

I tried many setups, putting weight on the front to improve driving and power, but ultimately it's faster without ballast ... Downforce practically at minimum... etc, etc..
So, That's life..:grumpy:

It's not finished !!!

Ferrari 330 P4 '67 Versus TS030 Hybrid '12. Thank you @Racin510s for all your help with this one:cheers:.

@skeagracing you are more than welcome my friend.:)I'm honored that I was able to help. You've done much better than I have as I have not beat the TS030. I've only seen it twice, once when I was in a GT500 car which I exited out of. The entered with the Zytec Nissan and lost by a little over 5 seconds. For me the hardest part is getting by the AI roadblocks in the first lap and a half. By then I'm 20+ seconds behind. I've won this event many times but never against the TS030. So well done.👍👍👍👍👍

2 further headaches for A. David:

Peugeot 905B Evo 1 Bis LM '92 / 600pp / @demonchilde tune / FG=4000 can race 10:05.117 beating Toyota TS030 fully under control. I did only 3 races therefore I would assume 9min feasible.

Moreover, just before to move to the Matterhorn TT, I tried a couple of races with Chaparral 2J '70 / 550pp / @SW__10 tune (actually several hands on this tune but I'm referring to the SW__10 variant).
Since I have seen Toyota TS030 in the grid I was thinking too much....... actually no problem to win with 10:14.583 race time.
In spite of a lack of power there is a potential to race under 10:10.

3rd headache for A. David:

Pescarolo Courage C60 - Peugeot '03 / 600pp / detuned 630pp @praiano63 tune / FG=3500 won with 10:10.216 against TS030.
Tune is far to be optimized for 600pp (just less power and FG adjustment), 3 races for such result.

ciao

EDIT: added 3rd carmodel

I entered the race today with the '05 C60 Hybrid expecting to see A.David and got the BMW F1. Was a good clean but close race, which surprised me. I was sure the C60 would do better than my result. In some body's hands probably would. Still won but not by much. I guess I might try and improve my times in the super laps as this race is getting old and no where as much fun as Ascari. Can only hope the days go by fast to set what PD will do next.

I tuned the 2J a little bit further and went twice under the 9:50 with a 9:48 and a 9:49. A quick question apart from the TS030 and the 2J which other cars can go under the 10 minutes in reasonable hands?

I just raced with the 905B and the C60, the first was a 10:19 and the second a 10:15. So the 2J and TS030 it is for the last couple of days.

Congrats to all have put A. David in P2.👍 I tried and the closest I got was 5 seconds behind using the C60 Hybrid. I did have multiple wins against multiple grids w/o A. David. I'm glad this one is going to be over but kinda dread what PD is going to do next. It's plain to see that as the release of GT Sport approaches PD will stop supporting GT6. It's evident now with these recycled events. I just hope to get another event like Ascari but not holding my breathe. I'll run whatever PD puts out as a PS4 and GT Sport are not in my near future. Once again thanks to all of the :gtplanet: community.

@Racin510s I would also like to add my congratulate to all who won against A. David and his bucket of bolts TSO3O that never won anything significant in real life road racing but is the "Superman of race cars" in GT6:cheers:.

Well, I don’t consider the TS030 to be a ‘bucket of bolts’. I like this car a lot, one of the better cars in the game IMO. Whether it has or hasn’t ‘won anything significant in real life’ has little bearing on my interest in using it in this game.

But there is nothing wrong with having a difference in opinion.
